Hopefully he will mature into an excellent player next year.

Let me have a little hope please?

I think Hopson can put it all together and be the team leader for our team next year. He is going to just have to put up and work his ass off.

This is shocking news, but with him back, we will now be a top ten team or at least top 25 according to CBS.

Thread title should be "Hopson passes on spending next year in the Greek Professional League"

Wise move... personally, I think he should stay all four years unless he shows vast improvement next year

I think he'll have a breakout year. With Wayne and who was that other guy? Oh yeah, Tyler Smith gone, he can take over the team and make it his. I've seen it in a lot of sports. It's really hard for some to be a role player. They need to be a leader or the go-to guy. I just don't think his personality is such that he's going to take that from somebody else. I see him as assuming it's his to lose and Pearl will capitalize on it. He should be fun to watch next year.

Just curious. What have you seen that I have missed that makes you think this?

Yeh bc a coach with a .750+ winning % has been playing a kid that gives less than half effort. Get real. The kid has struggled, doesn't mean he isn't trying.

yep he has. the kid has amazing POTENTIAL. he shows flashes of what he could be. but let me ask you this. how many times have you seen him bust it to get back on D? i've seen him many times step out of the way when the other team is driving to the goal. he won't take charges. he'll act like he's trying, he'll sort of run back, but not give full effort. how many times have you seen him sweat? serious que. the kid never sweats

Brain Matter got after Scotty's rear for not hustling for rebounds in the E8 game... I think that coupled with what some other posters have said regarding his chance to make the team HIS will help Hopson come alive.

I like that... University of Tennessee Men's Basketball 2010-11, Hopson Comes Alive tour.

I didn't think he was going to declare anyway...he hasn't shown enough in his 2 years to be considered to be drafted....he wasn't even on ESPNs list of top 100 draft prospects

Yeh, he gives 5% effort. Cmon buddy, if you don't have anything of value to post, don't bother. Pearl (90% of coaches) wouldn't play a kid that didn't try, PERIOD. Find something else to whine and moan ab.
