Hopson Staying In The Draft.

Go to this website and someone tell me where Scotty's name is in the mock draft. It was just done three days ago, hence the reason Terrence Jones is still on there. But this seems to be the general consensus from every draft and NBA insider. He has the ability, obviously with some work, but is way too inconsistent.

He just wasn't a 5* player. He came in, worked hard, and just wasn't that good to begin with. Had he been a high 3*, low 4*, people would talk about how he worked hard become a 1st team all-SEC player. But that wasn't the case. I am happy how Scotty played his junior year, and while there were lapses, he was our best player throughout the year, and I appreciate that.

I think the big disapointment in Hopson comes from the fact that when it was his time to step up and be the team leader he didn't. I think Hopson not only disapointed the fans by moping around the court half the time but he also disapointed and obviously frustrated his teammates. Hopson had by far the most talent on the team but completely disappeared at times especially down the stretch of most every game. We had game after game come down the the last shot and Hopson had the unique ability to to make himself invisible. Everyone had high expectations for Hopson out of hs but after his first two seasons most realized he wasn't a superstar and those expectations were lowered. If Hopson would have ditched the horrible body language and given consistent effort I think fans would feel differently about him.

If we were to grade Hopson's time here objectively, I think we'd have to see it was slightly disappointing. However, we need some players in the NBA, and I wish him all the luck in getting there and staying there.

In today's News Sentinel, Scotty admitted that the NBA scouts said the "con" on him was that he was inconsistent and did not bring it every game. That is something the fans here have seen for a long time. One good game and then a game or two where he did not show up. I wish him well, but that won't cut it in the NBA.

He is a GROWN MAN. He is 38 years old. If you want to come at someone, come after him. Dont bag on a kid who has done everything right and stayed out of trouble who just has some issues dribbling the ball without hitting his large feet!

In about 5 years, he will have made more money than you will in your lifetime. I bet he makes better grades than you too. I am certain he has more manners and class as well. Fact is, he is much better man than you.

By all accounts, Scotty is a good guy. Just becaue you weren't impressed by his play doesn't make him a bad human being. I seriously doubt you have any idea as to what you are talking about anyway.

I thought it was humorous, mainly because the guy seemingly can't subtract 1973 from 2011 even when the answer is listed in parentheses.
