Lenenberry update!!!

Tennessee refuses to give up on a four-star linebacker from the East Region. Likewise, he has refused to give up on the Volunteers.

E.J. Levenberry Jr. will take an official visit to Tennessee this weekend, according to his father, Eric Levenberry. The longtime Florida State commitment from Woodbridge (Va.) Hylton has had a hot and cold relationship with Tennessee. Tennessee was thought to be the lead school before former Alabama assistant Sal Sunseri was hired to be the Volunteers' defensive coordinator in January 2011. Sunseri didn't actively recruit Levenberry Jr., who eventually chose the Seminoles over Michigan and Oklahoma and many other schools.

Levenberry Jr. was scheduled to take the official visit to Tennessee last weekend. Ice storms in East Tennessee prompted him to postpone the trip to Feb. 2.

Ford update!! Fingers crossed!!!

Quote:
running backs coach Jay Graham along with other offensive staff members and head coach Butch Jones are slated to be in Alabama today to make their final pitch to running back Johnathan Ford and his family. The battle for Ford's signature is intense with Tennessee and Auburn the top two schools.
The only remaining question and it's a big one is what is Ford going to do this weekend. Florida State and Georgia have offered and would like to get him on campus for an official visit. Tennessee would like to get Ford and his family to return for an unofficial visit this weekend. Auburn is trying to do the same. Look for lots of rumors regarding Ford over the next 5 days or so. And it will start with where Ford is going to be this weekend.

YES!!!

Quote from our new commit, kicker Andrew Gantz:

"Just wait to be pretty surprised on signing day. We already got (MarQuez) North last night at wide receiver — that was a pretty big commitment — and coach (Butch) Jones is one of the best recruiters in the country. I think everyone's going to be pretty surprised with what happens on Wednesday, if everything lines up like it's supposed to be."

I spoke with someone close to Ford today and they indicated that the visit with Tennessee went well last night. It's believed that Ford has indicated to some people at New Hope that Tennessee is his desired preference, but he has influences around him that are pushing Auburn really hard. The Tigers are obviously going to be hard to beat, but I'd expect to hear very little from Ford and just a lot of speculation in the coming days.

According to 247, Coach Jones had an extremely impressive presentation for Ford last night that went really well. No other school was mentioned in the presentation besides Tennessee. Ford is not scheduled to visit anywhere this weekend, but that's not set in stone. Decision at 11 AM on Signing Day.
