House Dems about to ask for Trump tax returns

All high crimes and misdemeanors can be investigated. Murder, rape and assault are state crimes too. If he committed on of them impeachment charges could be brought by the House.
Where is the crime to investigate? Again, you don't go looking for one. There needs to be one.

are tax evasion or bank fraud high crimes and misdemeanors?

since you mentioned murder would you have supported Congress investigating Chappaquidick had Ted Kennedy been POTUS? Seems to fit your definition and clearly homicide is worse than bank fraud.

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Don't forget that the Congressional committees have closed door information that we're not privy to yet.

Real estate taxes are not based on what you tell the taxing agencies. The notion he was undervaluing his properties to lower real estate taxes doesn't match how taxes are assessed (as McDad demonstrated).

Notice how much of what's in that article says "if this happened this particular way it could possibly be considered this and if considered that it could possibly be considered a crime".

I don't see why anyone would use anything but city appraisal considering real estate has gone up.
Well, it depends on the situation.
My insurance agent replacement value is double my city tax appraisal...which is higher than my depreciated value...which is lower than my mortgage.

I should of said for property taxes.

HW's article suggests Trump was lowering his values to lower his insurance premiums but that would lower the replacement value.

I know my insurance isn't based on any value I provide to insurers.

Lower premiums and lower replacement value isn't fraud, illegal or reported on income tax schedules.

Are you kidding me? Have you not been listening for the last 10 years? All Dims need is a reason to invent a crime. The crime will happen.
Lol

Yes, if your lawyer calls you a con man and a cheat, you will probably be investigated.

Mnuchin won't give a straight answer, there's a shock. But obviously he will resist it.

Aside from the legalities, Trump repeatedly promised to release them, and has not. I think you would have to be a pretty big fool not to suspect there is something in them. At this point, I'm thinking they would not square up with the financials he submitted to banks. So either he defrauded the banks or engaged in tax evasion. Maybe both.
LG, really? Are we still on this?

Serious question because now I am confused. What exactly are you hoping to find with this that wasn't already learned about when Rachel Maddow grabbed his tax returns?

LG, give it a ****ing break man. Seriously. We aren't going to learn anything from his tax returns except that he takes advantage of every loophole he can to pay the least he can, and good for him for doing it. Whatever else you think they're going to find... I can only imagine.

Dems gonna lose again if they don't start focusing on their own platform instead of petty **** like this.
I really cannot wrap my mind around what could possibly be gained out of Trump's tax returns. This is a distraction.
