House Dems about to ask for Trump tax returns

It doesn’t matter to me but it will matter to Trump.
Is that worth threatening state ballots over (as in the state of Washington)? Is this worth wasting tax dollars on to use subpoena powers to get this info out there?

Do you have any idea how dangerous this is if it is used against Democrats? Or do you even care?

No surprise. The history of Marxist ideology is a history where the vocal proponents do not personally follow there own tenets.
Gave you a like for proper use of “tenets” when every other poster I’ve observed on here is misusing “tenants” lol.

Whatever it takes to damage Trump , that’s what is dangerous because they justify that with him being just a horrible person / POTUS . The really stupid part of it all is they think they can put that genie right back in the bottle after opening the lid . Their loathing of Trump overrides their logic .

The Trump/GOP position on this makes absolutely no sense and certainly reinforces the notion that Trump 1) knowingly lied when he claimed he was under audit, 2) knowingly lied when he said he would release the returns when the audit was done, and 3) that in fact there is something so damaging in there that he would rather gift this issue to the Dems than have it come out.

What issue "in there" would not be known legally to the IRS? You are only interested in political points not anything legal. The irony... from a "lawgator".

Don't know until we see them. He promised to release them, did he not?

Now, if he wants to say he changed his mind, that's perfectly fine.

Seriously, who gives a sht? I don't need to see the proof that he donates jack sht to charity and isn't nearly as wealthy as he pretends to be. If he did and he were he'd have shut down the haters long ago.

So, you and the usual democrat suspects will determine whether he complied with tax law? You're going to step into the shoes of the IRS and audit him at night from your couch at home?

Apparently they think that most people are stupid. They just need to make sure that the tax laws are okay when it comes to an audit. I'm sorry but I don't know anyone that is going to vote for a Democrat because of their partisan ******** stuff they're trying to pull.

The law specifically authorizes Congress to do just that, yes.

The law does not require the president to produce a return. The oversight law is about policy only. So, if Nadler and company get the returns, are they going to audit them for compliance? Do they have audit procedures the IRS does not have? What tax laws will Congress hold Trump to account the IRS has not? Please explain.

I wonder what recourse Trump has when they are leaked and you know they will be leaked.

Paybacks will be hell.

Yep, just like Harry and the nuclear option. Democrats opened that can and have to regret it now. Same for this tax return business. If they pull Trump's tax returns, the precedent is set for pulling a return for political reasons not policy or legal.

What about college transcripts? That’s where the truth is hidden.

Don't forget medical records. Cummings, as the chair of Oversight and Reform has some oversight over health care. I sure he could pull Trump's medical records for examination. Trump might be hiding something "in there" that needs to be checked.

Orrrrr... he was going to at first and you just pissed him off by demanding he release them or else and this is him telling you to pound sand . That would be something I’d do .
