I think part of the problem is the series is based a very intense book series, so it probably makes more sense for people who have read the books. Which I haven't.Yeah, I guess I'm just not that interested.
I can see that. I was enjoying it better when I started over and was able to watch 8 episodes 1 after the other without waiting a week for the next. Easier for me to remember names that way.I think part of the problem is the series is based a very intense book series, so it probably makes more sense for people who have read the books. It's probably a lot like Dune. If you've read all of the Dune books, then the movies make way more sense because they are just a snippet of the entire fiction universe.
The House of the Dragon show is just based on about 6-7 chapters in the Fire & Blood book.I think part of the problem is the series is based a very intense book series, so it probably makes more sense for people who have read the books. Which I haven't.

Yeah I've found myself bored during the past several episodes. I'm sure they are setting something up, but I don't imagine the viewership is great. Lots of dialogue without much substance, not many characters you are really fighting for, and gratuitous dragon stuff.Seems like this could be a longer miniseries or 2 shortish seasons of around 16 episodes vs what’ll probably end up being 4 seasons of around 32 episodes. Too much time waiting on things to happen and the dialogue isn’t there to fill the void.
I’ll still watch all of it tho lol.
My wife said the problem with this show, when compared to GOT, is there's no one you particularly love to root for and there's no one you particularly hate.Yeah I've found myself bored during the past several episodes. I'll still watch, but it's no GOT, to this point
I don't know. I think Aegon is setting up to be a real *******.My wife said the problem with this show, when compared to GOT, is there's no one you particularly love to root for and there's no one you particularly hate.
For me, most of each episode feels like an endless barrage of exposition! Just scene after scene after scene of people standing or sitting in rooms talking! I keep hoping all of this is being done deliberately to set up something awesome, but so far there's been no big payoff. I hope episode 8 is worth it.I don't think it's been boring at all. Pretty good IMO
A lot of the time, Game of Thrones was the same way.For me, most of each episode feels like an endless barrage of exposition! I will say though...
Episode 7 was pretty damn cool with the dragons and trying to find anyone who is Valyrian born! That was the best part of the whole season so far for me! I kept wondering if that big Viking looking guy was going to be somebody special!
