House votes to decriminalize marijuana at federal level

They grew hemp, maybe they grew marijuana also but I don't recall hearing that one.

Jefferson himself was quoted as saying the most peaceful days of his life was sitting on the porch smoking hemp. It is true when mixed with alcohol you take in twice the thc tho. Sometimes it makes you puke. A lot of falsities about cannabis because of the money put into fighting it. I have been an advocate for 30+ years, and have no illusions. I am legal. Parents are recreational. I play by the rules.

I don't care.

Your links are always terrible. People who have breaks can have it triggered with mj use. It's not the true cause and it's a very small number. Unless you're calling for the return of prohibition you're still in favor of legal drugs

You don't id as a libertarian because your beliefs don't match up. Your posts have shown you're not a huge fan of freedom and liberty
Yet I don't recall you having a problem with DeBlasio forcing businesses in NYC to make sure their patrons were vaccinated. You were only outraged with Desantis because your media told you to be outraged.

Your posts don't line up with libertarianism either. They line up closer to the democrat party whether you like it or not.

yeah so, the convo is... an addiction is addiction, and a non addiction can be over come. Fortunately, most addicted weed smokers over came it.

No, I don't want them declared illegal by the govt.
By the way. I see you're deflecting from what I've posted. You can't provide any sort of rational argument against what I've posted except that you don't like it.

So as is typical you did your usual and customary deflection to steer away from the current discussion at hand.

There is no deflection. The argument is that I should be in control of myself and not the govt. Less govt is the most rational argument one can get. You just get upset because my answer doesn't fit your narrow framework

This is absolutely true, and the same goes with the numerous synthetic cannabinoids. Through my medical experience and knowledge via a family member, there are differences in effects and potency by great magnitudes. Without question, I have seen people smoke literally a couple of hits and become completely nonfunctional within minutes, totally incapable of driving a car safely.

From what I have researched, some of the more potent newer "strains" and preparations make 70s joints more akin to cigarettes. Unfortunately, that's what much of our effect knowledge is based upon. Without question, more potent drugs = higher addiction potential + higher risk for serious side effects
weed tends to reveal who has an inner doofus

And private businesses also have no reason whatsoever to dictate what medical treatments people receive as well. If you feel different then you are against personal freedom that you accuse others of being against. Which is also against basic libertarian principles as well.

Once again you have proven to be nothing but a deflection artist.

So like PJ you are not going to discuss what's in the articles and studies I posted. You have chosen to deflect as well.

I started this line of discussion about physical dependence which you’ve chosen to avoid with articles about psychological dependence. What you’ve posted can be posted about porn, sweets and eating. So, it is you who are deflecting

I have not deflected once. I am going to post more links for you below. Which you could have found yourself instead of being lazy.

Your own posts say that marijuana is not really physically addictive like other drugs. "Common withdrawal symptoms are: irritability, sleep disturbances, decreased appetite, cravings and anxiety." Sounds like the symptoms I get when going on a strict diet.

Again, stick with my original post and stop posting articles that have nothing to do with my point. That is deflecting.

You said there wasn't a physical dependence on marijuana. Studies as well as previous addicts have stated such. You were wrong. Either admit it or move on. Thanks for playing.
