House votes to decriminalize marijuana at federal level

Marijuana won’t be legalized/decriminalized at the federal level for a long time. Alcohol/tobacco/pharmaceutical companies don’t want competition, so they donate to politicians to fight it off.

But don’t they already have that competition? I wonder how alcohol consumption and other drug use has been hampered in places that have legalized weed? I bet it’s close to none.

This is by no means thorough research, but I looked up Anheuser Busch’s share price over the past 10 years. It was approximately $80 per share in 2012 and now it’s trading around $55. I think marijuana has only hurt the alcohol business.

It might have something to do with it but I would guess they are suffering from the complete takeover of their market by micro/craft breweries. You can't hardly throw a rock in Knoxville now without hitting a local brewery and there seems to be more everyday. Even traditional bars are stocking local brews along with the large corporate beers. I generally drink local beer to try new things and only really get the mass produced beer when it is considerably cheaper and I am looking to drink a lot.

You said there wasn't a physical dependence on marijuana. Studies as well as previous addicts have stated such. You were wrong. Either admit it or move on. Thanks for playing.

The physical symptoms are the same as going on a diet. How about this wiz kid... There are no significant physical symptoms.

Maybe but I don’t know anyone that uses weed that JUST uses weed

No it is clearly not the same as going on a diet. For someone who claims to listen to experts you refuse to on this topic. Plus based on what I've witnessed first hand I'll take that over just your word for it.

You outright refuse to believe what I provided for you. Which is fine as you are free to believe what you want. But your statement is still wrong as there is a physical dependence on the drug. And as the marijuana that is available is more potent then you will see even more of a physical dependence on it.

I gave you the physical symptoms quoted from your article. They were the symptoms from a diet. You continue to post stupidity.

I tell you what. Go spend some time with some heavy recreational marijuana users and let us know how they act when they go a day or two without their pot.

Your statement was still wrong and at this point you know it. So please stop calling other people stupid when it was your stupidity that was clearly on display to begin with.

It’s like anything else.. Non serious people discount things they don’t want to see and hear while simultaneously emphasizing the things that they do.

I have. Very few symptoms. I literally quoted the physical withdrawal symptoms from your articles and they are the same symptoms you get from dieting.

You just keeping citing articles which support my position. And then tell me I’m wrong

I have been smoking for most of my life in one form or another. I, and any other recreational smokers can tell you EXACTLY what cannabis withdraw is like, because people DO IT ALL THE TIME. The first day, you may have troubles eating, and are extremely irritable. It's basically a hunger that you cannot feed. EVERYTHING pisses you off. The second day is a lot easier. You want to get up and do stuff again, and the physical symptoms are lessened, but you still get pretty pissed off at things that you normally roll over for. The third day you got this. Symptoms dramatically subside. With in a week you don't even want a hit anymore.

In about 4 weeks you go, man some grass would be nice this evening. You forget all about the withdraws.

If you just smoke reasonably you won't have an issue. That's why you monitor cannabis intake.

Seems similar to caffine withdrawals

You stated people had no physical dependence on marijuana. You were wrong. Stop trying to backtrack. It doesn't make you look intelligent at all. The articles and studies I posted proved you wrong. Get over it and move on.

And be less motivated. We need more less motivated people

K-town is right.
I don’t smoke weed but know people who do. And maybe it’s just the people I surround myself with but the people I know who regularly smoke weed are all very successful business people and the type of people who regularly out work their compilation. There are definitely burn out weed smoking fools but it’s not causation in any way.

I read another article recently that stated how the drug overdose deaths affect much of the 18 to 40 year old population. That is much of the working class age population of this country as the article accurately stated as well. Drug addiction and drug overdose deaths are definitely something that we are going to have to try and address and solve as a country soon.
