@Rickyvol77
what say you sir?
Like I always have. No one cares about people using marijuana at home.

The issues are (just like they are in the states that legalize it now):
-affects everyone differently and has various negative affects for recreational use especially those who smoke it and especially those with mental illness
-gateway drug for those with addiction
- Increase in DUIs
- illegal cheaper weed which is much more dangerous and more likely to be laced with other stuff will still dominate the marijuana use as no one wants to pay for more expensive blander government weed
- people still won’t be allowed to use marijuana and keep their jobs.

look, I am already legal in this fight. I can walk in tomorrow and buy 10 ounces and melt tabs and gummies. All legal. I can tell you Jim Jordan is making a **** TONE of cash off my situation. Total scam. I pay the state 200$ a year just to pay 50$ a tenth. Granted, it's good weed tho.
Reading your posts, no one ever believed you weren’t on drugs

I can grow a cow in my back field if i want. If i butcher and eat that cow, i pay no tax. I pay tax on beef when i buy it in the store.
Not in Georgia. How much business you think Chattanooga grocery stores are missing out on lately? If tax is high in one state and low or zero in another, people will just cross state lines to buy.

Lol. If passed, they’ll spend every penny and trillions more on the climate change hoax.

Yep. It’s funny how many people just say tax the crap out of it and use the money for such and such. Yet those same people also say the government spending habits are wasteful and they don’t know how to properly use tax dollars. So I guess because it’s weed, our super intelligent politicians will just all of a sudden find morality and spend the tax money to help us? I mean it’s comical.

This isn’t actually accurate. Most people arrested for weed also were committing other crimes including violent ones OR had active warrants for other crimes thus ensuring their arrest
Elaborate on this please from the article

"The vast majority of these arrests (92%) were for simple possession of the drug. 500,395 of those arrested for cannabis were simply found in possession of cannabis. Even if we take out all the arrests for being involved in unregulated cannabis commerce and just focus on arrests for cannabis possession, the numbers still outpace arrests for violent crimes."

To play devil's advocate, plenty of lives have been ruined by too much booze, fatty foods, and sugary drinks. Should we be banning those as well?

Edit: forgot tobacco.

I don’t have an issue with someone smoking weed at home. I don’t think we should be arresting people for possession either. Now driving while high? Yes you should be locked up.

Tobacco and alcohol? I think the world would be a much better place if neither were used again. Of course are sugary drinks, alcohol and tobacco gateways that lead to more dangerous things?

Of course. All they need is one scientist to publish the greenhouse gas reduction properties of cannabis. The funny thing is neither republican or democratic voters have the appetite to primary these azzclowns . America keeps voting the same lords and ladies in power . How insane is it to continue to vote people into office who refuse to find any common ground and compromise?

Honestly once both parties figure out to make the most cash for themselves it will pass.

No more gas tax ! Give us grass tax!

This tells me all I need to know about your knowledge on the subject. Illegal weed is not cheaper than legal weed, it can actually be much, much more expensive. And legal weed is top quality, it isn't some dumbed down "government weed." Its better quality than anything you will find on the street.
