I don’t have an issue with someone smoking weed at home. I don’t think we should be arresting people for possession either. Now driving while high? Yes you should be locked up.

Tobacco and alcohol? I think the world would be a much better place if neither were used again. Of course are sugary drinks, alcohol and tobacco gateways that lead to more dangerous things?

Alcohol absolutely is. When you drink, it lowers your inhibitions and you are more likely to try new things. Alcohol is exponentially more damaging to society than marijuana. You're a hypocrite if you think other substances should be illegal but alcohol is fine.

Some drug dealers, yeah. But probably a lot more who had an ounce or 2 on them and got caught with it. Throw in scales (most every stoner has scales because....black market) and you're a dealer in the eyes of the law going to prison.

No one is going to prison just for an ounce of weed. Simple possession of schedule VI isn’t even an experience misdemeanor ticket.

Because he had over a decade long list of felonies including burglary and firearm possession. If he had just had the weed and that was it, would’ve been nothing but a career felon is going to get more jail time no matter the crime his 10th or 12th time

Because companies will be held liable if some dumb pothead has an accident while working. And marijuana doesn’t affect everybody the same. They have the right not to hire druggie addicts or alcoholics or even cigarette smokers also

Legalize it, tax the crap out of it, and use the tax proceeds without exception to take care of our veterans.


Due to objections : Tax at a reasonable rate and give all proceeds to veterans.

Like I always have. No one cares about people using marijuana at home.

The issues are (just like they are in the states that legalize it now):
-affects everyone differently and has various negative affects for recreational use especially those who smoke it and especially those with mental illness
-gateway drug for those with addiction
- Increase in DUIs
- illegal cheaper weed which is much more dangerous and more likely to be laced with other stuff will still dominate the marijuana use as no one wants to pay for more expensive blander government weed
- people still won’t be allowed to use marijuana and keep their jobs.

In most states employers get a workmens comp insurance discount for being a drug free workplace. If it weren’t for that and federal law I wouldn’t GAS about my people smoking pot off the clock.
