How dare we question Palin!!!!

Did I say Obama writes his? None of them write their own speeches.

You made it a point to let us know who wrote it... she still knocked it out of the park.

Palin is firing up the conservative base, and that's not a good thing for Obama.

has the same media actually asked hussein obama any tough questions or did any research on his community organizing?

that moron is a typical liberal hack who heard a speech that inspired millions of voters and he's nervous.

the moron is making excuses to write stuff about her daughter. what a moron.

You lose credibility when you point out someone's middle name as if it's a negative. Let's keep the conversation above the 5th grade chatter.

i just said hussein obama, i wasn't saying it as negative. you need to have an open mind and not assume the worst.

Obama and company seem to think it a negative too..... I don't understand the big deal about a middle or last name. It will not affect my vote one way or another, in fact there are very few Americans who would as I see it. They have been Hypocritical about it as well. It is a name no more no less!

You guys are missing the bigger issue which is that the defense of Palin has not been to explain these various questions about her -- the investigation, the passport issue, the lack of vetting -- but that instead the Hannitys and Foxes of the world have simply invoked the "liberal media" mantra.

I mean, how many people on the right complained when the Edwards affair issue was initially ignored because it was the Enquirer reporting it? The complaint was that it should be looked at because of the merit of the issue.

Similarly, even if it were true that folks like MSNBC actually went out and looked for this, and even if it were true that they haven't been as inquisitive about Obama, that does not change the fact that asking what this lady can do to run the country is a legitimate question.

I don't mind them looking into it and digging for the truth. My problem is they dug in and presented half of the story and "left out" the part that would discredit the legitimacy of the story!

They do that on both sides.

So they both made good speeches. The plus for republicans in all of this is that she was an unknown commodity when she made it. We all new what to expect from Obama's whether you support him or not.

the difference here is that Obama was a known quantity, at least as far as his oratory skills are concerned. No one knew how well Palin would do at arguably the most important public speaking event of her career.

oh, George Bush has some very good speechwriters, he's just not all that gifted in his delivery.

Biden's kids have skeletons in their closets, are we to assume you don't think he was properly vetted?

Thank you for the entertainment. I can always count oin you.

The fact that people are talking about the VP candidate's speech and not Obama's is not a good thing for him. She did it without a movie set as well.

Look at the cover of US Weekly. "Babies, Lies, Scandal"

Who would that more accurately describe? Sarah Palin or John Edwards?

so it's your contention that the media should have taken DailyKOS seriously when he tried to infer that Trig Palin is actually the child of Bristol and not Sarah?

Or should the media have taken Alan Colmes seriously when he tried to infer that Trig's Down's Syndrome was caused when Sarah's water broke in Texas and she boarded a plane and flew back to Alaska before giving birth to Trig?

At least his speech had substance and he talked about the issues rather than spend all of his time bashing the rep.

Not to mention the cover is an obvious distortion and has very little to do with the story inside. The story inside talks about the lies of the bloggers, but you would never know that by reading the cover. It is a tactic clearly meant for the majority of Americans who have a life (and don't read the rag) who would never see the truth inside and come to the conclusion that she is a liar and cheat.
