I like it by the time we play them some of our young guns will have grew a little plus we will have already played the Sooners and Bulldogs so they wont be deer in the head lights they will be ready to kick there azz even in the old days I wanted to play them later than the second or third game we will beat there azz this year mark it down book it the streak will come to a end and we will be dancing in the streets late into the night the day we play the gators cant wait to end the streak and party all night long like the good old days.:dance2:

Another pure form of entertainment from Mr.Pedigo.Priceless.

Good schedule timing this year, except for the bye they get following bammer. They'll have shown all their marbles before making the trip up to Knoxville, and maybe Muschamp's attention will have been further averted toward "plan B" for his upcoming new coaching job-----being he'll be on the hot seat for so sorely losing to the tide. Maybe---just maybe we'll soon start losing that feeling of inevitability regarding automatic "L's" versus FU......new legends starting a legendary winning streak against the gators.

So can you explain 2012 when they had to go to aTm before playing UT?

I always figured that was because the conference wanted to try to get two good, big market/big name teams into each stadium (or seen in each market) as quickly as they could.

So they went a top 10 Georgia going to Missouri and a ranked Florida going to Texas A&M, both in the second week of games.

I imagine A&M fans wished it had been scheduled differently...that UF loss was the difference between not only winning the West and playing in the SEC Championship but a possibility of playing in the national championship as well.

Pretty good explanation....however I was referring to UF having to play an actual team before UT. Here is the quote I was referring to, "They'll have shown all their marbles before making the trip up to Knoxville."

Fulmer was tighter than a pine knot before the UF game for way too many years...and it's how his teams played. I love moving this game back and re-set the rivalry.

Yes I can. TAMU wasn't believed to be anywhere close to 'bammer, nor anyone else when Muschamp did their preparations for that game. In 2013 would they have approached the ags differently than they did in 2012? I'd say they would have, but we all know what opinions are like. I'll stand by my statement that all their marbles will be shown more-so than the previous couple of years.

this is true.

the last few seasons, we hand off and avoid throwing the football to avoid showing tennessee anything.

then, when we play tennessee, we hand the ball off and avoid throwing the football.

Glad we are playing them later this season. The more reps our freshman get the better. If we can't beat "Dooley 2.0" early....then will beat him later.

definitely a good move. I'd like to see it moved to November or see USC, Georgia, and UF play their games later in the year. That is one thing about the east - all the big match ups are done early. The east needs some meaningful games in November like the west has in Bama LSU or the iron bowl.

The Vandy game last year wasn't meaningful?

By the way, this will be only the second time since 1996 that Tennessee has NOT played Florida for it's first SEC game. The other time was 2001.

And we beat them that year. Personally wish we always ended the season against the gators. Just not for the reasons it was moved in 2001.
