I'm starting to feel more optimistic because florida may yet again have the edge on the line of scrimmage.

Because I don't honestly see us winning comfortably, and why not break the streak with an entertaining game, something to remember.

Of course I'll take a close game if we get the win. I just wouldn't want a fluke play happening against us and causing heartbreak once again. That's why I'd like it to be at least a 10 point win.

Fair enough, I didn't mean like a come from behind victory with 5 seconds left on the clock or something :p

I can't wait to be up for a true fall game. Crisp air, leaves turning...

Have rooms booked and am looking forward to it. I was there in '04 and it's time to whip dey azz again!

however, florida isn't going to be very good and tennessee will be at home.

if tennessee plays the way they did last season at home against south carolina and georgia, the odds are in tennessee's favor.

Tennessee will have to take advantage of Florida mistakes and turnovers to win the game.

With the youth on both sides of the Tennessee team, I wouldn't expect any long sustained drives by the offense.

"IF" Tennessee can maximize on those opportunities by gaining and expanding the lead in the game, that forces Florida away from their strengths and game plan. Factor in the crowd and UF may crumble giving UT a win after 9 unsuccessful attempts.

everyone forgets that all of uf's opponents have a huge pro in their favor. Will Muschamp is their coach. Unfortunately we were one of 4 teams that made the mistake of not capitalizing on that last year, but this year I am optimistic that we will be one of the 8 teams that do. GBO

Long term I like the idea of mixing it up. This year, I think it actually hurts us since UF will be breaking in a new offense (again) and it will give them time to work out the kinks before they play us.

I think it is one of the reasons they've had an advantage over us since the early 90's is the game has been played in September. Their players are more acclimated to the heat and even when the game is in Knoxville in September it is hot. It was postponed a few years ago for one season due to the hurricane into November and who won? We did.

By the way, this will be only the second time since 1996 that Tennessee has NOT played Florida for it's first SEC game. The other time was 2001.

Both people who liked this should be immediately reported to homeland security

You know I'd never noticed it before but look at the left corner - UF's #21 runs into another UF player and it looks like he's trying to throw a bit of block at him too. Wow. :eek:lol:
