How do you guys feel about the bowl game?

Play hard, see who looks like they will be able to develop into a player that can help and win.....simple.

Yeah, it's much more important and enjoyable to listen to sports radio than to actually watch and support a bunch of our actual VFLs as they play one last time. After all, we get more football in only 8 months

Uninterested, really. I guess it's a measure of how popular football is that we still even have bowl games, given how completely
meaningless nearly all of them are. "Hey, let's go to Shreveport to play another 6-5 team...and see who wins." Whoppee. Plus
many of the best upperclassmen are now opting not to play in the games. They're post-season exhibitions, essentially.

Goofiest. Logic. Ever.

Pretty sure I’d watch two bums play shuffleboard of one of them had a Tennessee uniform.

What does any game ever mean?!? They’ve always been fun matchups and a chance to see your team one last time. I don’t know when we all became so self important that there needed to be a deeper reason to watch a game.

Why is it silly? Tickets and hotel costs are expensive. Bowl games are glorified scrimmages now but I will still watch TN play on TV.

I love the Vols and been to the Outback Bowl, Gator Bowl and MCB to see the Vols. But I am using my money on something else other than visiting Orlando and attending Citrus Bowl.

You know...most Vols are just looking forward to ANOTHER field thumping given to the hog sloppers a few years ago...you remember...RIGHT?

Here...in case you forgot...SAME well coached - well-disciplined boys you bringin' to Florida again??!! Tell Kirk to wear a helmet on the sideline this time...THIS is REAL football Time in Tennessee! ENJOY BELOW!!!

All those reasons are very valid, but just because Milton is starting is not one IMO.

Bowl games in Florida are a great way to escape the cold weather and have a ton of fun watching one last hur-rah. I really need to be back at the office Tuesday morning early or I'd be there!

Iowa managed to lose to Butch Jones by 3 scores. I believe I'd keep my yapper shut if I was a Hawkeye fan.

Thank you! This is is my position. If a bowl game is meaningless, then all of college football is meaningless.

But if one enjoys watching college football and all of the crazy bounces and skillful efforts that may be seen, then this is one more event of it, before it all goes quiet and dark again for months.

Exactly… 90% of bowl games have never mattered for anything other than bragging rights. I don’t get what people think has changed.

Do we have Defensive Backs available for the game? That is alarming for the Bowl Game. Otherwise, I think we would smoke them with our whole roster available.

I don't understand how Iowa doesn't have even one player transfering out. That can't be right? Especially considering how putrid their offense was...how do you not have players leaving to try and find better opportunity???

Iowa has only had 2 coaches for like the last 50 years also. Them folks are different.

To keep our average reputation as a superior football team, it is a MUST win! A loss would would hurt us badly. If I knew for a fact we would lose I had rather stay at home. Also, I have a point I want to make that I know will cause me problems but I do not care. If a player receives a full ride on scholarship to UT, and is totally healthy to play, I do not feel he has the right to opt out in a bowl game because it becomes part of the regular schedule. (now blast me because I do not care.)
