How do you remember Ainge?

1. Peyton Manning
2. Heath Shuler
3. Tee Martin
4. Andy Kelly
5. Eric Ainge
6. Jeff Francis

It is absolutely amazing that you have Jeff Francis listed ahead of Casey Clausen, Alan Cockrell, Condredge Hollaway and Bobby Scott. Just makes me not even know what to say the rest of the night.

Erik Ainge? ... He worked like heck.

my observations....
- talented QB
- not a vocal team leader
- needed Cut as a therapist
- inspired UT's 2007 "3 and out", no-huddle, bubble-screen offense
- some great wins and some great losses

I will remember the 07 Outback bowl as the high point because it will be the last time I have to see him scared for his life.

I've never watched Alan Cockrell, Bobby Scott or Hollaway play. I don't remember seeing themt in the top 5 in any passing category at UT Sports Official Site either. I forgot Casey Clausen, I would put him ahead of Ainge.

I didn't see your list anywhere. I guess it's easy to take shots at someone else who starts one.....

Sorry, I didn't prepare a list for a thread that didn't call for one. I'm not just taking shots, you left off the second winningest QB in our schools history in favor of a complete stiff who played by default. If you want a list, here:

1. Peyton Manning
2. C. Hollaway
3. Heath Shuler
4. Tee Martin
5. Casey Clausen

You can switch all you like, but whether you like him or not, his stats and wins don't lie, Casey has to be top 5.

EDIT: CH didn't have great stats, but he was an amazing football player. Tony Robinson would have made this list had he had a little more longevity. I don't look at UTSports.com to make my list, I watch UT play football.

I acknowledged I should not have left Casey Clausen off, I'm not claiming perfection as apparently you do.

Like I said, I don't need lists. You write who you see on lists, I write who I saw NOT start a season 0-6. I'd expect a "Guru" to know more, but then again, I've seen the moderation. (That was for you Remus)

"Guru" is based on number of posts. Good luck with that.....

All I did was point out you left him off, then you got out your kleenex b/c I hadn't made you a list, so I did.

I'm not claiming to be perfect, but if I had "Guru" on my tag there, I'd make damn sure I knew better than to put Jeff Francis on any list that includes the words "best" and "QB".

I think I've proven more than once, that getting banned from here is the least of my concerns. I'd rather get banned pointing out nitwits that have 8,000 posts on a UT board know nothing about UT football than say nothing.

Guru is based on number of posts someone has.

How many times do you have to mention I left Casey Clausen off the list? Like I didn't acknowledge that the first time? I guess you just enjoy bring that up....

As many times as you keep questioning why I said something to begin with. Every time you acknowledge, you shoot your mouth off. If you'd just accept it was moronic and let it go, it would end.

Like I had never heard of Casey Clausen until you enlightened me.

It was a tough call, I would put him 3rd ahead of C Clausen. It was a tough call but martin did win an NC. Casey never won the SEC or made a pro team either.

I know where you're coming from but Casey never had the D Tee had, it was close though. I just was never that sold on Tee myself. I guess its all relative.

Only to people who are silly enough to make a list with a horrible omittance, criticize the person who points out for not making their own, and then admit the person was right, and then keep talking about it.

He is making his list off the record books. He is the guy 30 years from now that calls Emmitt Smith the greatest NFL RB ever. Just stating opinion off some numbers.

yeah stats don't mean anything, we should just base everything on your opinion.
