How does Coach Grade out to this Point (mid-season)

How can anyone subtract pts because we didn't beat UGA?

CBJ didnt drop the ball diving for the end zone, but he did put us in position to win the game.

Yeah, he didn't drop the ball. He also didn't block a punt or score any touchdowns that I recall. He also didn't give up a long touchdown drive at the end to let Georgia tie it up. Thing is, he gets responsibility for all of it. I don't get folks like you who want to give the coach credit for when the team does well and just blame the players when they don't.

Well, considering that he hasn't won an SEC game yet, struggled to beat South Alabama, and had the biggest loss in program history to Oregon, I'm going to say that everyone giving him 7s and 8s are being rather generous.

What's your grade, sunshine?

Coaching 6
He won what he was suppose to and lost what he was suppose to.

Recruiting 10
Number 2 class says everything there

So my over all grade is a 8

We hate on Kiffy for two blocked field goals, dooley for 13 men on the field, Clowney making 1 play out of 50, and the UNC loss that was so bad they made a new rule. So, yes, Butch gets this loss on him. There should've been no way Murray drives the ball that easy in the end.

As for a grade? B- to C+ range

Better than average, but no win that we shouldn't have. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and all.

Wow, that its a surprise! A thread judging how well CBJ is doing after a few games coaching and taking over a train wreck. Lets give him a few years before we start questioning the Coach. No coach is going to have magic pixie dust to sprinkle about and immediately take the program back to dominance.

Agree. It just shows the ignorance that abounds on boards.

5

Hasn't won anything an average coach wouldn't have with this talent. Had 1 great half against Georgia. 1 terrible half against S. Alabama. Am hoping the Georgia half was a sign of things to come and not the anomaly.

Are you factoring in recruiting?

You can't possibly be and still give him a five, so where do you rank him overall, including recruiting?

5 on the field.

The UF game was a disaster and winable. The UGA game was won until UGA drove down the field to tie it. UT realistically could be sitting at 5-1 rright now.

Off the field he's doing everything right. He just needs to get the W's.

I don't get folks like you who consistently put words on people's mouths. He didn't blame the players. He said we weren't supposed to beat UGA and Butch put us in a position to win if not for a fluke play at the end.

You're penalizing him for hanging with UF and UGA and calling this games winnable. Both UF and UGA are more talented than Tennessee.

His recruiting is an A at this point, but that's only if those players produce as expected. Granted, that's the same with any schoool.

You can't rate recruiting in October on the four-year careers of the recruits. All we have to go on at this point is ratings and whether we are filling positions of need.

It's really impossible to NOT rate recruiting an A at this point.

UF lost its starting QB in the 1st qtr. They brought in Mariota Light and let him control the game.

UGA, UT had the lead with under 2 minutes to go.

Yes, UT should have at least won the UGA game and had UF in the best position to beat them in a while....since last year. :)

That's why recruiting rankings are really flawed.

If we had beat UF or UGA, it would be crazy to give him anything but a 10. I almost feel like some of you are trolling. We're starting walk-ons in the secondary, FFS.

If CBJ gets a 5, what does Bielema get? A 1?

Who cares about Arks. coach?

The bottom line is UT is 3-3 and had UF and UGA right where he wanted them and UT didn't win.

It's as simple as that.
