Considering how teams have played on the Road under Heupel, we may need to be concerned. And will be Nico's 1st SEC Road Game.Went 9-0 as well. Not too concerned about Oklahoma and Bama is going to be winnable since it’s in Knoxville and we’ll be undefeated. Hoping for a competitive four quarters finally against Georgia.
If I'm not mistaken, aren't they also playing an inexperienced young QB in his first big time game?? They're also breaking in a new starting OL. If we call the QB's/ WR's a wash, we have the more proven OL. We have the better run game. Our DL is also an advantage. The trend in the Heupel Era is u have to stop the run with 6, move Omari, and keep Pearce off your QB's neck. I don't see it happening.Inexperienced QB in his first true road game and Heupel's teams haven't played well in these type of games.
We'll need everything to go our way to win that game.
Plus it will be Oklahoma's first SEC home game. They will be HIGHLY motivated and that crowd will be pretty raucous. I will be very impressed if we get out of there with a win.Inexperienced QB in his first true road game and Heupel's teams haven't played well in these type of games.

Yep, this is how I feel and it will be surprisingly like the last time there with a high noise level getting our O-line out of sync (off sides , jumping, going to silent count and having UGA D-line dictating the game)and spreading to the rest of the O just taking away Vols Offense.Went 9-0 as well. I am a little concerned NCSU QB will really stress our DBs. I know we have a good defensive line (or should), but their QB will probably try to throw a bunch of 10 yard passes.Maybe. We'll see soon.
My hope is that Nico is able to scramble more often when the pocket breaks down than Joe or even Hendon were able to. I know it was Iowa but he was pretty quick with his feet.Yep, this is how I feel and it will be surprisingly like the last time there with a high noise level getting our O-line out of sync (off sides , jumping, going to silent count and having UGA D-line dictating the game)and spreading to the rest of the O just taking away Vols Offense.
I'm going to throw this out there, if we get to UGA undefeated and split with them, I think the playoff committee would be hard pressed to find a reason to keep Tennessee out of it. 3 losses is enough to keep Tennessee out, two losses is iffy, one loss, I think almost guarantees a spot in the top 12. JMOWill we lose a game in 2024? Most of us would say yes, eventually. We will. A few might say no, though.
And how far will we go without an L?
I'm thinking a long, glorious 9 win streak. Not counting on it, we could slip up anywhere prior, but believe it's entirely possible. Go to Athens undefeated. Would be a blast.
Go Vols!
They’ll be playing a first year starting quarterback also. So with their O line problems and a new QB that’s not a good recipe for success against TennesseeInexperienced QB in his first true road game and Heupel's teams haven't played well in these type of games.
