How good are the sooners?

Truth.

Under Bob Stoops, Oklahoma has basically hung around the top 10 in a mediocre year and played for a national title in a good year.

They win about 10 games a year consistently.

"But, they aren't in the SEC"

Ok. Neither was Oregon.

Or FSU or Miami

Firstly, Maggitt seems like a very unfortunate name for a football player. True, anything can happen. Jitters will almost 100% sure happen. We can only hope that Knight with what he has under his belt isnt the same Knight that started last season, but ended it.

Muh-jitt; try it, sound it out. It's not that difficult.

Will they be one of the top 4 teams? Some are predicting they will. Their biggest games, in my opinion, are Oct 11-Texas, Nov 8-Baylor, and Dec 6-Oklahoma St.
I think they won't make the final 4. One loss would still give them a shot but two-NO!
There will be at least two and maybe 3 undefeated teams at the end of the season before bowls. Can an SEC go undefeated? Maybe.

They have to go undefeated I think. The lack of a conference championship game hurts the winner of that conference. Their schedule does favor them however with their biggest games being in Norman. If the SEC beats up on one another it could benefit them and other conference winners as well.

Better than the Vols.

Best not to think about that game.

Basks in the warm thoughts of a possible win over Utah State.

oU should beat us. But the Sooners are the type of team that we can beat. Top ranked with flaws just like most sec teams. If we play like we did against Oregon we can win. OU won't put up 35 straight points on us with the type of offense. I say we have a good chance. We'll see.

We'll need Peterman to be back in his pre-injury form, but I think you're right.

Good... Will win 9 to 10 games as normal under Bob Stoops. Probably one of the most constant programs in the last 10 years. Also will have a great "D" under Stoops.

Haven't read this thread, but came in to say they will be national championship contenders, looked unbelievably good against Alabama

Don't see how we have a chance against them especially at Norman. Haven't looked at the line but I'm thinking 3 to 4 touchdowns.
