Without Worley we don't get the win. Also if it leads us to a bowl game, who cares if Worley dinks and dunks all season? He is a senior and nobody is expecting him to be Peyton Manning. If he can perform like he did tonight, or close to it without turning the ball over very much, we will have a good season. Most of us are thinking 6-7 wins this season. Nobody is expecting a 10+ win season and to be competing in the east yet. Your analysis of Worley seems to come from a hating perspective. Our QB that will get us back to prominence is not even on campus yet. So what Worley cannot execute a perfect fade route?

Also this was the first game of the season. But I guess that doesn't matter.

Yes, I secretly hate Worley while heaping praise on a bunch of other guys tonight. It couldn't be because I think that he isn't good enough, right? I don't even hate him, he's just mediocre, which is why I'm arguing against all the conjecture of his "amazing" performance tonight.

And, Worley was not very good in that USC game, either.

Why would I? I've pretty much killed all of your arguments. I'm more worried about getting bored.

Not really man. You haven't killed anything. You have managed to create quite a few straw man fallacies though. Good job partner :good!:

How about Alex Smith?

How much is he making with KC these days drinking and dunking all over the place.

Answer? A **** ton.

He was bailed out by some amazing plays by Marquez North on jump balls against South Carolina. Without North, he doesn't even get 100 yards.

And I only expect North to be better this season.

It's not conjecture that he played very good it's fact. Backed up by his statistics.

He was good enough to lead us to a win over SC. You can say he was bailed out all you want but the fact is he moved the ball against them and got the ball deep down field to give North a chance to make a great play.

Being critical of Worley is fine. Thinking he is not a good QB is fine. But trying to say he didn't play a great game and failing to recognize his improvement is shortsighted.

And, he has a better arm than Worley, more talent and, yet, hasn't won a damn thing.

Seriously, would it bother anyone if Worley dinked and dunked all season if it led us to a bowl game?

This debate is not about production.

Try to keep up.

Oh, I'm keeping up. Yeah, you want to say these guys don't have great arm strength and still were successful, so Worley will be, too. Yet, most of them can make a lot more throws than Worley, produced a hell of a lot more than Worley has or ever will or, at the very least, had a ridiculous amount of talent surrounding them to mitigate their deficiencies.

The problem is you want to like Worley simply because he's wearing the jersey and taking snaps and will create reasons to fit your conclusions. I, on the other hand, want UT to win and have the best players possible, giving us chance possible to do so, not giving a rat's rear end who does it, leaving me the opportunity to objectively observe whether or not a player can or can't.

Pat White and Tim Couch also had below average arm strength.

Our own Andy Kelly...Eric Zeier...Doug Johnson...etc etc etc.

1 - 0. I'll take that start.

Here's hoping we experience a few more days like today and end the season with as many or more wins vs. losses.

Goodnight Volnation!

We have the talent on the outside and at RB to be successful with a dink and dunk game manager as QB1.

I'm going to bed.

Greg McElroy, Matt Barkley...

He's won more games since 2012 than any QB in the NFL.

While getting no ring and losing his job to Colin Kaepernick before getting traded. He also throws the ball down the field with better accuracy than Worley.

You must be smoking something if you think Worley has the same type of surrounding cast that those two had. Besides, Barkley did nothing with that talent loaded USC except help get Kiffin fired and McElroy was also a better QB than Worley. He completed 70% for an entire season.

Chris Leak...Matt Flynn...

Leak needed Tebow and one of the best defenses I've ever seen. Flynn has a better arm than Worley.

Still, all of these QBs = significantly more accomplished than Worley.

In the end, the original idea or question remains; will Worley be a decisive factor in competing against the best teams in the SEC(or simply teams in the SEC) or is he just treading water for us in those games, as he has in the past?

Yep. Much more accomplished. Things Worley can only dream of...

With just as weak if not weaker arms.

I'll be throwing out routes in my dreams now.

Goodnight.

I know you didn't just post a picture of Tom Brady and actually think you made a point. Perhaps you haven't seen Brady throw a deep ball the last decade or so. If you haven't, I'll help you out in saying that this isn't helping your argument, which, I'm not even sure what that is anymore.

You are now to the point of just randomly listing QBs with no rhyme or reason to the madness.
