How is this Jones fault?

These games were lost 3 years ago in the living room of recruits..butch has the #2 recruiting class..give it time..

You do know february is a long way away and as the losses compile recruits lose interest. Besides recruiting was nothing to do with what happened last night

I've gone back and forth on last nights game. I've concluded that Butch did not get out-coached. The fake FG, had it worked, would have been considered a genius call. Plus he knew Palardy was off and it was cold. He also realizes Dobbs isn't there yet, so he kept the playbook simple. Vandy is a better team. Maybe we should have won, but whatever. Butch just needs the talent.

Is Jayson Swain a paid member of Jones staff? his sunshine pumping on WBIR is even embarrassing Hubbs...

It takes a positive environment to bring in top recruits. No winner wants to hear *****ing and moaning. Plus, with this recruiting class, there is finally some concrete results pointing to the future moving in the right direction.
Butch was handed the worst situation player wise of any coach we've had since Fulmer left. Give him time.

The defense was fine so that was wrong.

Dobbs had 4 completions and 2 picks. How freaking creative did you want Jake to get?

Kentucky beat us with a wide reciever at QB 2 years ago. If the QB cant pass the ball against a depleted secondary then he shouldnt be in the game PERIOD. There have to be other options. Beast mode offense, Ferguson maybe? How about more Marlin Lane, not making one of you 8 attempts a pass to stone hands Jo. Smith, etc. I'm tired of the roster excuses. Time to see some coaching.

I've been guilty of negativity ill confess, but you are right. Nobody who knows anything predicted us to win more than six games anyway. If so they were delusional.

You answered your own question. If the quarterback is laying an egg, it's on the coach to replace him or play to his strengths. They had 4 db's go down and it's on jones to recognize that and exploit it. If your team looks like they were eating Cheetos on the couch for two weeks and right up to kickoff, THAT IS ON THE COACH. I don't get why so many of you want to protect BJ from any criticism whatsoever because you are blinded by what he's done off the field. He hasn't proven anything yet, period.

Thank you!! At least you get it! Quit coddling this team and staff people...they DESERVE TO BE CRUCIFIED! Are you seriously sitting there going ho-hum...la de da..everythings going to be ok? Wake up and smell the BAD COACHING!

Why thank you sir. I'm just a firm believer in keeping standards very high and holding people accountable. I too love what BJ is doing off the field, but that only gets us so far. We have to see results and so far he and his staff have failed.

February is a long ways away lets wait til the sign before we go patting him on the back

If we recruited better, we would have had a better chance to win, we have no talent or depth

This program is a train wreck.

No, this fan base is a train wreck...one bad call which didn't effect the outcome and hes a bad coach??even if Palardy wouldve made the Fg, which I highly doubt it....if Palardy doesn't under throw the pass by 15yds its a TD. Not to mention the TD that was taking away from us on the block in the back...that was a horrible call....more like a block in the side....if not that....we win....just sit back, chill out, and let him build his team...what the hell did you really expect this year, Butch isn't a freaking magician!

So Jones should put Fergy in? Really?

And they ran it very well despite awful QB play, so they did play to their strengths.

He proved he could beat a highly ranked team with his good, healthy QB.

Is They had a good day of rushing.

They held them to 7 points until the refs screwed them on 3rd and short (when they clearly lost yardage before the sneak).

Dobbs absolutely sucked today. Worley could have throw with his left hand and played better.

Your kicker looks hurt cuz he plays bad.

The fake FG was bad but it wouldn't have mattered. This was an embarrassing game no doubt. However, I don't see why we should bash Butch. Same team with Worley and they beat SCjr and nearly Ga. Dobbs bad play is the key. Not trying to defend the staff but the problem is more QB than coaching.

How is this Jones fault? Well hell, that's an easy answer. The team UT fielded yesterday was poorly coached. Butch Jones is the Head Coach. If his coordinators are failing miserably, which they were, it's his fault because he hired them. That's the fun part of being the Head Coach, everything rests at your feet and you get paid well for it. When we succeed, Butch gets credit, when we lose, Butch gets blame. Dobbs wasn't the reason we lost. If the Head Coach feels that way he should have pulled him and put in another QB, and no, not Worley as he's out. But last time I looked there were 2 other qbs on scholly, neither of which played yesterday. You also have several athletes on the team that played qb in HS. Before you laugh at that, remember KY beat us with a WR playing QB for them. There were other ways Butch could have gone, but he didn't. So please stop making excuses and blaming players when we lose. Last time I looked, players played the game, but coaches decided which players saw the field. Join reality, we lost because of poor coaching.

Hell yes if he thought Ferguson gave him a better chance of winning. The job of the coach is to win games. Winning this particular game keeps bowl hopes alive. It's not like this was a game with no meaning. Burn the RS if you truly believe he's gonna get you the win.

Rewatch the game. There was more than one bad call. Stop making excuses and accept reality. It was a poorly coached game.

I'm not saying CBJ should be fired, but pretending yesterday didn't happen is moronic. It did. CBJ does not walk on water. He does make mistakes and with what he gets paid, he should be thick-skinned enough to accept criticism.

I thought Tennessee was way to predictable all game long!
1st down run the ball
2nd down short screen pass that goes nowhere
3rd & long - Short pass attempt to pick up the 1st.

Play calling was the same all game! The only surprise this game had was the fake FG that was a flop.

The game was not CBJ's fault. The program is at a low ebb and key personnel (off a roster thin on talent) are injured.

It's a bad spot to be in. I do think UT beats UK, but it will be very close if the team can't muster more offense.

I'm thinking 3-7 point difference between winning and losing. It will be painfully close.
