How many of you would have settled for

Serious question. What did you expect this offense to look like? Last year? I mean didn’t you know we would take a significant step back?
I knew we were gonna take a step back offensively, but I didn't think we would be as bad in the passing game as we are right now. We are currently ranked 73rd in passing offense. I really expected the offense to look similar to the Clemson game. Joe looked polished and moved the ball around well, with what is pretty much the same offense.

Joe and our WRs have taken a step back. They did look better against SC, but they are ranked almost dead last in passing defense, so nothing to write home about.

This team CAN win every remaining game. Alabama and Georgia are not the juggernauts this year they have been in the past. I think we go 10-2 or 9-3 and win one of the big ones against either Bama or Georgia but have a clunker or two like Florida. If this team plays lights out they have the talent to win out and go to Atlanta.
Well, I don't see us winning against any big road team except for UK and only because we are to them what UF is to us. Plus we seem to have a similar physicality to UK with a better QB in the passing game that will help out the running game considerably.

This is what happens when a fan base tastes some success. The bar is set much higher, and it takes more success to satisfy us. Its actually a good thing to reset the bar higher and expect more success. A sign that the program has made it to a higher plane. Remember the late 90s when we were disappointed with losing to Florida and going 11-1?
No doubt! And those (80'and 90's) were "our" glory days, unless you are a really old fart! lol I'm also a little more realistic, in that we lost a ton of talent last year, but I am still optimistic that we can still accomplish great things this season, just not in the same way. While we are averaging 5ish pts less per game on offense, we are also allowing 5ish pts less on defense as well this season. Average margin of victory is about the same. Granted, there are better opponents ahead, but we do not know how those will play out yet. Just as last year, many had us losing to Alabama, toss up to FLA, USCjr as a win by FiDdy, etc.... Now, with the signing class for 2024, my expectations are going to rise tremendously, as we should have better talent, and hopefully more depth! But time will tell. Until then, I'm going to be happy to be 4-1, with plenty left to play for this season. If we **** the bed, of course I won't be happy, but look around the SEC, every year teams get knocked off but lesser opponents. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! GBO!!

It will take a Georgia and Bama win to get rid of that Florida taste in my mouth. Extremely disappointed we aren't undefeated right now but optimistic. Georgia and Bama both look very beatable. Kentucky is Kentucky and I don't think Missouri is that good. Georgia has just pretty much came from behind on talent alone. They don't look all together. Hopefully they wait until after they come to Knoxville to put it together. Our defense matches up pretty nicely with what Bama is doing. Still think they lose two more games

I don’t make predictions because mostly all that will eventually do is make one look foolish…But IF we can run the ball with the effectiveness we’ve seen the rest of the season…we SHOULD be in every game. I realize the road games pose a major challenge of a different kind but successful run games typically can negate a negative road atmosphere…at least help a bunch.
