I bet he wishes he had stuck with the Vols now.He will not have a chance to play for a national championship in his college career now if he stays at USC.I wonder if he is bound to USC or not.I seen something to the effect if the incoming freshmen hadn't enrolled by now they could possibly transfer without penalty. Not that I would want him after he turned his back on us at the last minute.

I read earlier that anybody that would graduate before they were bowl eligible again could transfer without penalty. I don't remember how many years of eligibility he has left though. I doubt he ever plays for SC

One would argue that he has just a good of a chance to compete for a national title at USC now that he would at Tennessee... Just saying...

He wouldn't have been eligible to play at UT. Didn't meet all the SEC course requirements for JUCO transfers.

I read an article on Yahoo sports that said they were penalized 30 scholarships in a 3 year period. Does anybody know if that is right? Everywhere else, I saw 20.

Its 10 scholarships per year for three years.

No I would have to say ever how minute Tennessee's chances they have to better than the Trojans.Any percentage chance is better than a 0% chance last time I looked. At least at Tennessee he had at least a chance to go to a bowl.

I think it was just a math class wasn't it.Couldn't he have took it this summer and been eligible this fall.

Maybe he didn't know at the time he needed it and later decided it wasn't worth it. Doesn't mean he stabbed us in the back. And I absolutely would welcome him to UT if he wanted to transfer, but I doubt he leaves.

I read somewhere that if the incoming freshmen hadn't enrolled yet they wasn't bound by their letter of intent.Kinda of what happened with our mid term enrollees.

That's not true unless they fail to qualify or are granted a release by the school, and EEs don't sign LOI; they just enroll.

I meant only in USC's case not every case.I meant since they got the post season ban that if the kids hadn't enrolled they wasn't bound by their letter of intent.

I believe they can petition the NCAA for a release. That was on another thread earlier today. The guy quoted the NCAA rule book.

That would be between the player and the 'AA. Without either a release from USC or a waiver from the 'AA, I'm pretty sure LOIs are still binding even in this case.

I meant if USC gave them a release and they wasn't enrolled.
