How Stupid Is Governor Ron Desantis?

It's evident that you not only didn't watch the video clip, but you may not grasp what's happening at all.

When you say "now they want to cry about it", are you talking about Disney? They haven't publicly commented about it at all. Not a peep.

Had you watched the clip, you might have educated yourself to the fact that Desantis' revenge law may not be served after all.
In fairness, that would be like someone posting a Hanity clip and expecting the lefties to watch it.

It’s funny that you think it’s a republican problem.

It is. It can also be some other group's problem, but it is most definitely a Republican problem no matter how much you try to deflect in a thread about Republicans going all time with this kind of revenge stupidity.

Indeed, if this setup is so unacceptable—a claim most Republicans didn't seem to make for the half-century the special district has been in place—it should also be unacceptable for the other 1,844 Florida special districts. Of these, 1,288 are, like Disney, independent districts. But we aren't hearing significant Republican complaints about these. In other words, GOPers want to continue the practice of extending privileges selectively.

This episode should serve as a warning for companies angling to score special privileges from government. Governments give arbitrarily and unfairly, and they take back with equal arbitrariness and unfairness. This sad affair has done nothing to change cronyism in the state of Florida, but it has once again exposed the arbitrariness of government in our lives and the cost of depending on its favors.

No, Florida Republicans Do Not Care About Crony Capitalism

I mean, you are the guy who compared homosexuality to incest. Something you are born with vs. something you choose that basically nobody in society accepts.

Then there is this little lesson on bigotry you probably ignored or forgot

View attachment 451292
Trump was still factually correct with his statement. And he never said “all Mexicans were rapists”. You are saying I’m racist for agreeing with a 100% factual statement. There are several thousand illegal aliens who are violent, are rapists or are drug dealers. I never said all illegal aliens were and neither did trump.

You get your feelz hurt over truth and call it “racism”

As for homosexuality it’s weird that some people “choose” to change their lifestyle and I would argue that genetics plus environment both make you who you are as a person. There’s a reason that the majority of homosexuals (especially male) have been victims of sexual abuse

It's funny that you think this is a modern problem.

It’s funny that errthing I say you’re going to take an opposite view.
It’s most definitely a 50/50 issue and at a all time high.
Both Regan and Clinton were able to work across the isle to get things done. Clinton in spite of the revenge investigation by the GOP. We’ve escalated since then to a point that nothing is bi-partisan. Your life in denial trying to blame one side on a spectrum of who is worse doesn’t change that.

Understand that being factually correct does not change the fact that you are saying something bigoted. I can say "Christians are ****ing stupid" and that's factually correct because some are dumb, but guess what? It's still religious bigotry. "But I didn't say 'all Christians!'"

I can't believe this is so difficult to understand. All you have to do is change the roles and you'll get it.

Also, please understand that nothing you are saying hurts my feelings. I am just over here laughing at you. That was how the conversation started, remember?

It’s so important to republicans to be vengeful that the results don’t matter. They claim some supposed moral high ground regarding safeguarding the constitution and limited government involvement but then cheer on this move. Results don’t matter it’s just looking tough on libs that matters. As usual, it’s all hat no cattle.

It’s not “bigoted” even by definition to say that there are several thousand illegal aliens who shouldn’t be here because they are violent criminals. That’s like me saying I believe catholic priests who molest children or police officers that use excessive force should be locked up but I’m being “bigoted” towards those groups. It’s insane feelz groupthink words used by leftists to distract from the ACTUAL issue

I watched far enough in to see what he was talking about and kicked myself for not just assuming it wasn’t anything new.

Idk how people watch cable news. I could feel my damn brain melting.

I am not and have not.

Contrary to most people's perception of me, I don't throw the R word or B word around much. It's likely you have done it more than I have, here on VN.

That was probably just LO's makeup.

So, basically the rep's and Desantis just passed a law that will never go into effect. Why am I not shocked.

Not nearly as the vengeful filled party that installed a dementia filled old man and a hooker just because they hated The Orange Man.
Have YOU deactivated your Twitter yet?

Protected groups are a farce.

Simply being born with a proclivity doesn't justify said proclivity.

I don't seek to protect groups through the government, I am only referencing that term to illustrate the difference as society sees it. Orientation is not a proclivity. A proclivity is a tendency, but the tendency is based on the orientation, not the other way around. People are born with attraction to the same sex where it's so strong it's the only way they can be happy. I see no evidence that this is true for incestuous relationships, and it's ridiculous and insulting to compare the two.

Disney shouldn't get special privileges, as pharma, or any other big company. Give it to everyone or no one. Funny you guys suddenly care about big business.

I don't hate the individual themselves. I hate the left in general and all it stands for. I have seen what they do in power, and I have seen ruthless they are to those that disagree with them. I am just giving them, and will continue to give them the same treatment from here on out. Keep having your head in the clouds and think there is a middle ground to be had. The middle ground is long, long, gone. And don't give me the limp wristed "if people like you would just...." No. No one from either side of the isle is giving an inch.

When a party believes they're the only god in existence, this is the type of gov you get

Disney has been fairly quiet about this but I'm guessing behind closed doors they are crying tears of laughter and wiping them away with their billions of dollars. This is clearly grandstanding by Big Government Ron.
