How will the media handle Bidens sexual assualt allegation? NYT tweet lets us know...just amazing

The only reason all of Kavanaugh's teenage jokes were relevant was because he was lying through his teeth about that stuff. He could have easily said "Hey, I was a typical teenage boy. I made jokes about sex and other things. So what? All boys do that." Instead, he decided to lie about it under oath. And therein lies the rub.

There is nothing to prove he was lying - I was using this as an example with the Biden/Xenophobe stuff.

You read into what people you don't like are saying but ignore what those you support say.

Ye Ole Double Standard

The New York Times Trashes Biden Accuser Tara Reade as a Putin Lover in Hit Piece

I’ve gotta give the Times credit. Somehow managing to make the sexual assault accusation against Joe Biden into a referendum on one’s views of Vladimir Putin is some peak 2020 stuff. Because if someone has ever said a positive word about the Russian strongman, they obviously deserve what they got, right?

No, I’m not exaggerating. The Times published a piece today that brought up Tara Reade’s previous musings about Putin in an attempt to discredit her.

Michelle Goldberg is no stranger to writing on sexual assault allegations either. She was front-and-center during the Kavanaugh hearings, writing an extensive piece targeting the now-Supreme Court Justice. See if you can spot the change in tone between her two articles.

In the midst of the Kavanaugh cycle, Times columnist Michelle Goldberg thanked Ford for her heroism. Here was how Goldberg described Ford’s retelling of the incident with Kavanaugh: “Her soft voice cracked as she spoke. She smiled a lot; her attempts to make everyone see how agreeable and reasonable she is were heart-rending. But she was also poised and precise, occasionally speaking as an expert—she’s a psychology professor—as well as a victim. Watching her push through her evident terror was profoundly inspiring.” The column was titled “Christine Blasey Ford’s Sacrifice.”

What a crock of sh!t.

Impeach 46. Did I do that right? Is this plan B since Ukraine didn't cooperate in Trump and Rudy's scheme? What happened to Ole Rudy?

Rudy went out for a short one and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Probably a lot of chasers

5th wheel

Way back when I originally wanted one of them. They are real nice. I really wanted it ‘cause I wanted a dually Ram with a Cummins diesel. Couldn’t justify that truck to my then wife otherwise.

So 3rd time round I got a diesel pusher with the Cummins ISX. Today the Prevosts have a Volvo. Before Volvo bought Prevost they had Detroit Diesel DDECs that put out 525 hp

Joe Biden Has Yet to Face Single Question on Sexual Assault Allegations

3 weeks, 10 interviews, and 81 questions with no mention of sexual assault claim

Joe Biden has been asked 81 questions in over two hours worth of media interviews since a former staffer in his U.S. Senate office accused him of sexual assault three weeks ago. He hasn't fielded a single question about the allegation.

Biden has sat for 10 interviews with major news outlets since March 24, when his former aide, Tara Reade, accused him of pinning her against a wall and penetrating her with his fingers in 1993 when she was a staff assistant in his office.

None of Biden's 10 interlocutors have asked him to comment on the allegation. On Sunday March 29, for example, Biden sat for a wide-ranging nine-minute interview with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press during which he was asked about the coronavirus response, sanctions on Iran, whether Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) should drop out of the Democratic primary, and President Donald Trump's approval rating—but not Reade's allegation. He also managed to avoid questions about Reade's allegation from George Stephanopoulos the following Sunday, a primetime interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo, an appearance on NBC's Today Show with Craig Melvin, and two interviews with MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace.

The Biden campaign did not respond to a request for comment on the allegation or the media's decision not to press the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee about it. The networks who interviewed him also did not respond to requests for comment.

Biden himself has yet to address the accusation from Reade, who formally filed a criminal complaint with the Washington, D.C., police last Thursday. Biden spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield said in a statement that Reade's allegations are false and the incident never happened.

I want anyone to ask Biden about his crackhead son and see him meltdown!

Senator O'Biden...
What do you say to accusations that your son Hunter benefited from you being VP after he was unceremoniously tossed out of the military for drug abuse and before he curled up in the fetal position during the Corona Virus and at the same time he couldn't appear in court for child support request from his stripper baby momma?

Admit It, Sexual Assault Allegations Are More Credible When They’re Against Republicans

Andrew Stiles - APRIL 16, 2020 12:30 PM

On March 25, Tara Reade accused former vice president Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993. Imagine if, instead of airing the allegation on a podcast, Reade had sent an anonymous letter to a leading Republican senator. Imagine if the reporters couldn't track down a single person who recalled Reade telling them about the assault around the time it was alleged to have occurred. How would the New York Times cover the story? Would it cover the story at all?

Times executive editor Dean Baquet recently explained that the journalistic standard for assessing the credibility and newsworthiness of sexual assault allegations against political figures is "very subjective." Baquet is right, but he should have said what everyone knows: Accusations of sexual assault against Democrats simply aren't as credible as accusations against Republicans.

Baquet could not provide a more coherent explanation for the Times‘s (meticulous, cautious) handling of Reade's allegation against Biden, especially compared with the paper's (hysterical, credulous) coverage of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's allegation of sexual assault against Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018.

WaPo Columnist Who Wrote A Book About Brett Kavanaugh Now Says #BelieveAllWomen Is ‘Dumb’ Given Accusations Against Joe Biden

By Emily Zanotti DailyWire.com

Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus, who wrote a book about sexual assault accusations made against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and defended Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in the pages of her newspaper, now says the “#BelieveAllWomen” and “#MeToo” movement are “dumb” — because a similar, but credible sexual assault allegation has been leveled against the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden.

In a shocking editorial for The Washington Post, Marcus lashes out not just at Biden’s alleged accuser, Tara Reade — who has now filed a criminal complaint against Biden and who has a record of contemporaneous claims made against the then-federal legislator — but at the anti-sexual assault movement altogether.

“Reflexive acceptance of any and all allegations of sexual misconduct against any man is not staunch feminism,” Marcus writes. “t is dangerous credulity that risks doing terrible injustice to the accused. #BelieveAllWomen was a dumb hashtag and a dumber approach.”
