Yep. and I won and kept them out of trial, as the defendant. Traffic accident on interstate south of Anderson, SC. Rained. Was in Greenville for church on way home to GA. I was 8th wreck on that stretch that morning. traffic backed up from two current wrecks down wind. Highway was up and down hilly. Crested the top of a hill right into a rear end at 50 mph, prob a bit less. Caught a glimpse of unmanned patrol car in median with lights on and downshifted but too late. Didn't even see line of cars backed up over the crest. 2 days before statute ran out got sued by other driver. both of us State Farm. I simply went out with my recorder, videod my path up the rise to show the scene and prove I was not at fault, gave to my state farm lawyer. Case dropped.

Asinine, yes, that is an accurate term. It is asinine that you pull three words out of a post to reference and then accuse me of not knowing history. Hmm maybe trump forgot to tell the rest of the story. I will help you learn the rest of the story.

It is also asinine to compare Trump and Lincoln's situation. Nothing is similar other than they are both had close elections and they are blowhard yankee republicans. One led the war of northern aggression and the other led...well he led a charge against the democrats and won the electoral college.

Lincoln never actually signed the arrest warrants but that is minor details. He did influence the press to jail. Lincoln also worked with a liberal newspapers and conservative newspapers which is another difference.

The huge difference is that Lincoln was dealing with a truly fractured country during a time of war. Trump is not at war or atleast anything close to the scale of the U.S. Civil War. Lincon could at least use the guise of a Civil War. What is Trump's excuse other than to advance his own position or to persuade those asinine enough to follow.

Similarly, when Trump is asked about his teenage comments he doesn't say things like "I was a primetime t.v. star who is hired to get ratings so I say things that are inappropriate."

A totally understandable position and gives him much needed credibility. However he gets defensive and doubles down, on the stupid stuff...
He is so bad that it gets in the way of him effectively leading the country.

We have a 5er now but I hope when we grow up we can move to a class a like that and travel the country.
