If UF doesn't name a major coach very soon you will see a lot of recruits jump ship.

I am pretty sure some EE are pretty pissed right now.

UF is in a bad spot.... D coordinator just left, O coordinator is a need and now the head coach is gone.

Not a ton of great options for UF, but Shanahan is a name that could do some damage.

I hope our staff is all over their EE's. Who's in that mix?

This will help everyone in recruiting. Some UF recruits will de-commit.

I would think Foley goes after Bob Stoops first. Florida will begin a downward slide in the conference due to this resignation as well as Tebow leaving and the other seniors and juniors leaving early for the NFL.

I won't pretend to be unhappy about the effects on UF but I wouldn't wish that kind of problem on anyone... even Meyer.

That said, the timing really hurts UF. Any reasonable replacement search will take weeks. Maybe it had been going on privately for awhile but if not they're going to suffer at someone's hands in this year's recruiting. Strong would have given them someone to hold it together at least for awhile. Unless the replacement is Mullen... the current staff doesn't even know if they'll have jobs or not.

UF will still be an attractive choice for a lot of FL kids but the organization and strength of their effort will almost certainly be damaged.

Lofty goal. I could see 2-3 but 6 would be extreme.

This will certainly help recruiting, if not for UT but also FSU, USCw, and UM. UT will win in the end just because no coach will be able to hang onto all of UF's commits, which will weaken the gators.
