It would rank up there with knocking off #1 Auburn back when Bo played…they key to that game was that we were just more physical. They had more talent but our guys hit harder and never let up. Auburn blinked and we just kept pounding them on every play.
We also had an SEC caliber QB...Tony Robinson.

I was at the game. Tony Robinson played like a champ!

How in the world could you be anything other than ecstatic if UT beats UGA?
Yeah, it does seem like a rhetorical question. Having said that and considering I'm in the middle of dawg nation, I'd be over the moon to pull this one off. It would literally make my season. UT could lose the rest of their games and I'd be walking in the clouds if we beat UGA. But nothing ever goes my way. Dawgs in a beat down.

It would be a good win and help destroy the dogs season. Aside from that it doesn’t help us win the East so…….just destroying the dogs season would make me happy enough.
Honest question… in what way would a loss on Saturday “destroy” Georgia’s season?

A 12-1 SEC champ will get into the playoff, whether it’s Georgia or Alabama.

We will lose Heupel will still be the guy. It would take elite qb play to beat uga and we have a game manager at best. Is a win possible? Sure, but not likely.

You are assuming UGA just beats Bama. I wouldn’t be sure if that.
No, I’m not assuming that. But in the event Georgia loses the SECCG, it would be THAT LOSS that ruins their season, not the one in Knoxville.

It’s very possible that Georgia could go 12-0 in the regular season, lose the SECCG, and not make the playoff.

From their perspective, the game Saturday is relatively meaningless.

Need one between the top two, IMO

"Great win, very happy, makes me think we could have played better in a few other games and be in Atlanta

First I'll be elated and tickled beyond all doubt. However, I'll also be forced to understand in 3 years against Bama, UGA, and UF he has gone 3-9 IF he does win. I believe we come out of that game where he's actually 2-9. Also the two embarrassments one at South Carolina and the other at Mizzou this past weekend does him no good for being a long term solution at UT. But if he pulls it off, no doubt it would go a long long way toward him being the long term solution as well. I have not yet written Heupel off and want him to succeed, but I have become a skeptic he is our long term solution. Reality has bitten me in the donkey.
Did I miss the blue font?

He’s has the most success of any coach in decades. Enjoy the ride. We have more fun big wins with him here. He’s already done what the four previous coaches failed to do.

As much as I would love to be on equal footing with the “Big 3” that we struggle with every year, we lost a lot after CJP - and even before we’re mostly inferior. They’ve just been bigger faster and stronger - except maybe Florida, but whatever the jinx there. And both those coaches have been building before CJH. Maybe consider ourselves fortunate with 2022 and hopefully keep building. How many times have we discussed just how unprecedented Saban, and now Kirby’s run has been. Would love to win Saturday - and sure it’s possible - I’ll just hope for the best but expect the worst.
