If we win it would get rid of the stank smell of the Missouri game we all had to inhale and still are. That game was pure ****!

We will beat them twice in Basketball, the good thing is Tennessee is the best all around program in the SEC.

I voted in the poll and now I kinda wish I hadn’t given it the satisfaction. Why is the second choice “meh”? If we beat the #1 team in the country on Saturday and those 36 (as of this writing) are just “meh” or thinking this is a bad season, then you’re not true Vol fans.
Good question on why is the 2nd choice “meh” … ? That’s a big step from ecstasy to “meh” in my opinion - but it won’t erase what happened last week. Considering the current state of our roster, a win Saturday would be HUGE and I’ll be all smiles on Monday … and it would certainly help recruiting and bode well for the future. It doesn't FIX the season and this poll doesn’t determine a true fan regardless of how you vote.

Nah. That type of stank is like getting hit by skunk juice. Even when it's gone you can still smell it. Gonna take a lot more than beating uga to get that gone. Still, there's better chance of me getting hit by a bus....falling from the sky...than us beating uga. This team will spend this entire week hearing how badly they played and how sorry they are. Some teams would get really pissed and come out with a purpose like...well...Mizzou did last weekend. Does our team have the inner strength and drive to come out and play with that zeal for 4 quarters against the best team in college football? We've not seen them play a full game yet and this is #11. Color me skeptical.

I swear, we better not have a Georgia takeover this weekend. It’s a 3:30 CBS game, we have the talent to beat them, it’s the biggest recruiting weekend of the season, and we just need a good showing! I don’t think we will win, but I damn sure ain’t giving up. Give it our best shot the team and fans! I’m sick seeing how arrogant and cocky these damn Georgia fans are.

The fans are the best in college football. They'll show up. The question is will the team? The fans can be loud, but the team, at some point, needs to give them something to yell about. If the Vols go out and play like they did in the second half vs Mizzou, the crowd will eventually see the writing on the wall. If the lads can make it a game into the 4th quarter things will really be interesting for UGA. A lot of folks down here claim to have tickets and are going. I think they'll have a rather strong contingent in Neyland on Saturday....sadly.

Honest question… in what way would a loss on Saturday “destroy” Georgia’s season?

A 12-1 SEC champ will get into the playoff, whether it’s Georgia or Alabama.
Doesn't destroy their season but it kills that win streak they got going and it would for sure put them on the hardest path to another natty.

We got #1 coming into Neyland. It will be rocking. UGA will have as many fans there as we had in Athens last year, and it will be surrounded by a Sea of Orange.

I hate 'em but the pups travel well to Knoxville. They'll start hitting Calhouns by 11...and they'll already be well lubed, too.

I would mostly feel confused. And happy. And frustrated. And excited. I voted for option two but that’s probably just because I’m still sour. If it actually happened, I probably would be ecstatic.

I voted for the first option, but if this team somehow wins against the #1 UGA squad, I’ll actually feel a bit more perplexed by our ineptitude vs. UF, Alabama, and Missouri. It’ll show just how much of a missed opportunity (again) we had.

I don’t expect a win this weekend, but I do hope for us to play better and make it competitive and uncomfortable for the puppies.

This team is just confusing in its inconsistency. No one expected perfection, but I had hoped that we’d left absolute mental collapses and no-shows largely behind. Still not the case, and THAT is what is disappointing in year 3.

Polls like this are what helps to keep my faith in humanity.... its always the vocal minority burning all the mattresses. Have you ever noticed anytime 'EVERYONE' is saying something it's not really everyone or even most people... it's just the echo chamber of Karens, Nancies and busybodies that never have anything good to say. 'I heard', 'someone told me' and 'a friend of mine said' fall in that category also.

If we somehow beat UGA, the “stank” will be worse because it will expose more starkly the pure, unadulterated mental weakness that still lurks within our program.

The choke jobs against UF, Alabama (2nd half collapse), and Missouri (did the team even make the trip? Or did they send a junior high team?) will just stand out more clearly and embarrassingly.

I know, I know: a chance at 9-3 or 8-4 is a lot better than what we’ve endured under the previous coaching regimes. But seriously, the blown opportunities now show a pattern that confirms a loser mentality is still present in our program. That’s a hump that we are paying Josh Heupel to get our team over.
