I understand your point, but why should we pretend that we’re not female? At some point, some maroon will call us gay due to the tone of our responses. At any rate, it happened to me.

I have little patience for guys who pretend to be baffled about what’s ok and what isn’t. If you wouldn’t want someone to say (or post) it to your mom, your daughter, your wife/GF, or your sister, don’t say (or post) it yourself. How hard is that?

I lean toward the belief that this poster is just a terminal klutz (reminds me of Husband #1, who has suffered his entire life with foot-in-mouth disease) with no actual creepy intent, but just stuck in a time warp, bless his heart. My own reaction is an eye roll rather than a wish to deliver a swift kick. I’ve been around for a lot of changes in this interesting old world.

By no means am I saying that you should have to hide anything, I wish more so that it wasnt an issue I truly do. I was just saying that there is always that creepy guy unfortunately, that seems to pounce extra chivalrously at the news that the poster is a woman. I just wish that didnt happen.

One of my buddies who joins my poker game every couple of months (only when his wife gives him the hall pass) was over on Saturday night and we got to talking and he told me about his friend from boarding school who actually grew up in Oxford. His brother married a local girl whose parents live next door to the Freeze’s. And she said they had a realtor over there today and that he was wearing orange Sox this morning when he came out for the paper. My prediction is that he’s going to be wearing orange.
