say what you want.. at the end of the day he has over 1000 yards receiving with another game to go and is 18th nationally in receiving. Without him we wouldn't have the offense we had all season.

when will people understand that stats ar not the end all be all of performance. the only stat that counts is winning or losing. we all have pulled for him but we all have seen him drop passes in critical points that have help decide wether we won or lost. that is all the OP is saying. you can stick the #18 stat where the sun don't shine. IT DON'T MEAN SQUAT.

Actually, stats mean a whole lot. So does potential and ability. Especially for a WR, win/loss won't play a big role. He was projected late first round to start the year, he is still projected there. So those losses and drops haven't hurt.

Once he hits the combine, that is where Hunter will shine. He has 70 catches, probably around 8 drops. I don't see that as a deal breaker. UT fans magnify it more cause of when they were. Same as Arian Foster and his fumble problem, even though he only had 5 in his career.

So now that Dooley is gone we are going to blame players? When JH is making millions next year who are we going to pass the blame to? A great player who is all vol. We are lucky to have a kid like JH wear orange on Saturdays.

If the ball was covered with Velcro and Hunter had wings, it still wouldn't compensate for our Swiss cheese defense.

The kid is a first round pick.

Not calling people names huh? Doesn't appear so here either. Can't you make a point without resorting to name calling?

That isn't name calling sir. I make simple comments and get condescending responses. You guys can win this one. I'm not going to sit here and play keyboard warrior with you guys.

C'MON MAN!! Im sure you're an all american receiver. Dude tore his knee apart last year and has been nothin but a VFL since he got here. Not to mention he has his head on straight and has never been in any trouble. Go to the land of haters

Hunter made more big plays in 2010 than 2012. He got all of his stats this year against the lame teams. I don't recall him making any big time plays against the good teams in 2012. Hunter was better in 2010 than in 2012. Agree or disagree? Oh, and what is this every time he catches the ball he has to stop and try to juke side to side? Drops on 3rd and 4th down, had a pass bounce of his face saturday. Did he out jump any good DB for a ball this year? He will get eaten alive in the NFL.

It drives me crazy the way he falls down every fricking time defenders close on him. He looks like a "fainting goat." I'm glad he's here, but make no mistake - he's just biding his time until he gets to the NFL.

After watching Lattimore's fortunes, I'd be outta there asap

He is the top Wr this year. Size , speed , hands. NFL HOf's and all-pros drop passes. People who think he is not NFL ready or won't be a high pick know nothing about football. Watch more than UT games sometimes.

NFL WR's who drop half as many passes as Hunter has this year vs much lower competition soon find themselves unemployed. He has not proven that he can get separation since the injury... and that's huge deal for a guy who would come in as a run blocking liability.

Hunter has the physical tools but you cannot say he has elite hands after his performance this year. You can no longer say he makes great catches in traffic. He's repeatedly failed at both.

I like the guy. I love the way he played before. He was fearless and acrobatic. This year he played like he was protecting his assets.... which unfortunately for him make his assets look much less valuable.

Did he get a 1000 rec yards on accident? Yeah, he's horrible, blame Obama.

The ridiculousness of your second comment explains the "logic" that went into the first one... FTR, Obama is the guy who STILL blames his predecessor though his policies have failed in every conceivable way not just over the past 4 years but over the past 100 years since they first came in vogue with Progressives.

I guess that's a good thought though concerning your post... Failure to have a fundamental understanding of the internal workings of things lead to both conclusions.

Not a hater. I don't know anything about him personally but have heard nothing to make me think he's a bad guy. I am not bothered that he takes a dive rather than trying to run guys over. I'm not that bothered that he doesn't take as many risks going after balls since his ACL. His failure to go after balls won't help his draft status... but he's proven he can so that may not be a big problem.

The big problems are that he has NOT consistently gotten off coverage this year in the same way he did prior to the injury AND he has dropped WAY too many balls that were perfectly thrown. He was never a great blocker and still isn't.

A guy no matter how athletic he is that does not catch well, cannot get off coverage, and is a liability in run blocking.... does not command 1st day draft status or money.

What has TO done since he got that bad case of the drops in Dallas?
