Hunter

This is my absolute biggest complaint about Hunter.

And, currently, I don't believe he's "NFL ready," but I don't believe he's "NFL un-ready" either. I think with the right coaching and summer workouts/camp, he'd be a good player but would end up being a so-so WR2 or a really good WR3.

I think right now he's early-middle first round. (10-17th pick). JMO.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I think he's a 2nd day-er. I think he goes somewhere in the 50-70 range if he goes to the draft today.

What you're saying is that he's a top 17 pick in the draft, but won't be getting picked to be a team's #1 WR. There's a gap in logic here.

he used to be a deep threat now he is more of a possession WR he cant get behide the safteys or when they play man on justin cant get any seperation like 2010 but his tall frame gets him alot of his catches when he catches the damn ball

He's a crybaby underachiever, Im sorry. He had all the potential in the world to go down as UT's best receiver IN HISTORY, but his immaturity and lack of determination has gotten in the way. I know he was injured, and would come out a bit timid the first few games, but come on. The guy has been irrelevant. I personally think hes jealous of CP.

HONOR THY VOLS...CHERISH THEM...

Scouts has him at #24.
McShay has him at #24 and the #1 wr.
Kiper has him as the #2 wr but not top 24 right now.

Lack of post season play could hurt a little bit but combine should give him a real boost.

Hunter made more big plays in 2010 than 2012. He got all of his stats this year against the lame teams. I don't recall him making any big time plays against the good teams in 2012. Hunter was better in 2010 than in 2012. Agree or disagree? Oh, and what is this every time he catches the ball he has to stop and try to juke side to side? Drops on 3rd and 4th down, had a pass bounce of his face saturday. Did he out jump any good DB for a ball this year? He will get eaten alive in the NFL.

I think he is more NFL ready then some care to admit.

I would love for him to stay and think it would benefit him to stay, but I can't blame him if he goes.

He has a kid
He has the ability

I would imagine that Hunter is gone and I can't blame him. He has had one injury already and he was there to see what happened to Lattimore.

Tell me that would not make your mind up for you if you were him. It would for me. Family first.

Did you get Eagle rank? Or did you drop out before that like most guys? :)

I kid--you left yourself open for that one. :eek:k:

 Actually, and it pains me to say this , but , I was trying to give Musin Muhammed some constructive criticism and he took a swing at me. I had no choice, but to defend myself. he missed 6 months with a dislocated shoulder. One of the dumber things I have done. Regret it, but still don't like him

The word English always starts with a capital letter.

Hunter can't catch, I can't spell, and you two can't put punctuation where it belongs. In case you haven't noticed this is not a place that requires perfect grammer. If you're going to play English teacher, you should make sure you use proper sentence structure in all of your post.

On point Sir. Well said

Not to mention the guy gets completley dominated off the ball against the secs physical corners. And yes the big time drops were a killer in several games this season. Is it me or did jh have very little yac yards this season?

Hunter has physically returned but he has not mentally. He needs more college time to improve. He also needs to learn the laws of physics. When he has momentum turn it upfield instead of stopping and dropping.

Exactly. And while he is at it, add 10 more lbs of muscle to help with that.

Justin is a special player and under the right coaching staff he could be the no.1 receiver in the draft. Regardless good luck young man.

I'd rather it be an English lesson than pretty much anything else

When REAL scouts working for REAL GM's take a look at his REAL performances this year against the best talent he's faced... it is going to hurt him.

I like Hunter. He's got a tough choice because he does have 1st round talent potential. But he did not perform like a first rounder this year. As spectacular as he was in flashes before this year, his body of work is not large enough.

Someone may take a big chance. But he had a 2nd day performance this year... at best.

Late 1st/early 2nd round numbers, late 2nd/early 3rd round performance

I'm sorry, thats my fault. I should have looked at their profiles before I reacted to them correcting my spelling.

Could be... but.... After a couple months of combine specific training a freak athlete like Hunter could throw up some freak numbers that make REAL scouts drool. I hope so... Seems like a real genuine kid.

TOS reporting that Bray has decided to stay for senior year. Maybe he can get either CP or Hunter to stay also.

It was reported previously that CP hates going to class. I doubt he returns....

Hunter has a child now so he will more than likely head to the league.

 Who cares? The kid knew the program was going south and he knows that he will probably be picked first to early 2nd round after the combine. #1 wr on the board

Th big three CP, Bray and Hunter need more time to develop. They all have extremely raw talent but unfortunatly they never got the coaching they deserved. If they leave early for the NFL all three will be drafted due to their talent and potential but all three could use another year under their belt to hone their skills under a good head coach. This probably wont happen though. I think it depends on who we get as a new HC. I think it'd be ashame if we lose all three. But we'll see.
