I admit it. I'm getting optimistic about the Gators.

Every year, everyone is optimistic about the coming year. But I've been a Gator fan for longer than some of you have been on the planet. I'm used to that, and always try to temper that enthusiasm with a recognition of how difficult it is to maneuver to a successful year in the SEC.

But this year has felt different. And now I'm seeing a true competition between drop back passer Franks and dual threat Zaire. The Oline seems a lot better. And we have some young talent at WR.

Defensively we lost a lot of players to the NFL. But there were injuries late last year and some guys starting this year got valuable experience.

I think we win the East going away. We catch a good but somewhat inexperienced Michigan team early. It is still a longshot to beat 'bama. But if we stay healthy and catch a few breaks against them....

Mich W
North Co W
Tenn W
Kentucky W
Vandy W
LSU W
Texas A & M W
UGA W
Mizz W
USCe W
UAB W
FSU L

'bama .... I'll get back to you.

Still optimistic?

As bad as UF was...They'll still beat UK by 40. The defense looked alright, and in a game against lesser teams they'll definitely be able to wear teams down.

Looked like the same Florida as last year. The offense was stuck in a mud hole and the defense keeps them alive until the fourth quarter

Eleven rushing yards? Did I read that stat correctly?

yup. also the shark humpers explanation at the end of the game was uncomfortable. "We were just beat physically. Those were some big boys" something like that.

Florida looked as bad with so many players missing because of suspension as Tennessee did last year with so many players missing because of injuries.

Don't go there lol. Only 2 of their suspended players were starters, and the rest were considered to be non-factors. Florida sucks, and I love everything about it.

Nah. It'll be close. Kentucky will have a chance. Its just gonna be on y'all to close the deal.

No. The defense is significantly worse. Michigan ran the ball at will all game. Florida's defense last year was much tougher at the start of games.

I got Florida going 5-7 or 6-6. The swing game being at Kentucky.

They went 4-8 and beat us. Brutal times.

This is how I see it too. When was the last time a UF D gave up over 200 yards rushing? The only reason their defense looked good was due to a couple pick 6s that they can't rely on all season and the official making a horrible call on Michigan's first TD

UF stands for UnOffensive?

9 1st downs
192 yards
11 rush yards
Yards per rush 0.4
2-13 3rd down conv.
3 TO
Rated 116th out of 120 teams.

LG, I got on here and poked a little fun at you guys. I figured the suspensions would make it tougher for UF to compete.

But the offense I saw last night had much much deeper problems than players suspended. I'm not even sure if they all have the same play book.

Im not even sure if this can be fixed in one season.

I have read in here that CJM was gonna be y'all's Dooley and it doesn't look like that was too far off, even winning the East 2 years in a row. It was won with D which he has allowed to regress as well.

How would you go about fixing this.

Exhibit A of why you shouldn't start threads like this on a rival's message board.
