I admit it. I'm getting optimistic about the Gators.

Even D4H's ineptitude won't save us from Michigan.

My expectations are low for this particular game.

There are several scenarios.

We win, in which case announcers and post game commentators say, "imagine how good this team will be when they are back to full strength."

We lose a close one, in which case announcers and post game commentators say, "imagine how good this team will be when they are back to full strength."

We get blown out, in which case announcers and post game commentators say, "meh, I doubt it would have been any different if they had been at full strength."

Hey Bob, I'll take what's behind door # 3.

Every year, everyone is optimistic about the coming year. But I've been a Gator fan for longer than some of you have been on the planet. I'm used to that, and always try to temper that enthusiasm with a recognition of how difficult it is to maneuver to a successful year in the SEC.

But this year has felt different. And now I'm seeing a true competition between drop back passer Franks and dual threat Zaire. The Oline seems a lot better. And we have some young talent at WR.

Defensively we lost a lot of players to the NFL. But there were injuries late last year and some guys starting this year got valuable experience.

I think we win the East going away. We catch a good but somewhat inexperienced Michigan team early. It is still a longshot to beat 'bama. But if we stay healthy and catch a few breaks against them....

'bama .... I'll get back to you.

I love it that Jim Harbaugh of all people will be laughing at your program and eating your heart by the end of this game. Gonna be fun watching the gators trying to get over the beat down next week. Please return to this thread and give us your thoughts at the conclusion of today's game, I want to save every reptile tear you produce. LOL

:)

we are missing our best wr and rb. We have a qb that's never taken a college snap, behind an ol that's historically underachieved and is one injury away from disaster, protecting a defense that lost nearly everyone.

But d4h just gave us the reverse juju.

12-0?

:)

Our offense reminds me of our offense for the last five years. Putrid.

This year is at a complete level different of suckage and you know it. That Michigan defense replaced 10 starters and basically didn't give up a single drive.

Florida sucks this year, hopefully we aren't in the same boat.

It would be our luck for UF to be absolutely abysmal, and we're somehow we're even worse. Basically what happened in 2013 and 2014.

Yeah, no kidding. At this point we could lose Monday and I'd still feel decent about going into the swamp with a chance. None of the issues tonight were a quick fix.

1) Terrible O line play
2) Horrid QB play
3) Those guys looked like enemies out there wearing the same jerseys, not teammates.

Florida looked as bad with so many players missing because of suspension as Tennessee did last year with so many players missing because of injuries.

How about now?

Think you're overstating it a bit. Florida has more issues than just missing some players due to suspension just like we had way more issues than just losing some players due to injuries last year.

I think it fair to say at this point that my having started this thread pretty much jinxed the season. If this gets any worse, I'll not be so optimistic.
If we can find some way of proving that theory I will personally give you a hundred dollar bill every year in August to refresh this thread!!
