I am 100% convinced Butch Jones will bring us back

We have had these players all along just didn't know how to utilize them correctly..

In the Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy asks Glenda the Good Witch to help her get back home, Glenda said " Those ruby red slippers can get you where you want to go--- you've had the power all along -- you just didn't know how to use the power"

We've had the players -- we just didn't know how to get the power out of them. Butch is the Wizard of Volz and all he says... Three Clicks and you say " There's no place like TEnnessee... There's no place like Tennessee.. and before you know it you will be in the SEC or National Championship game!"
Long story short - these players absolutely have talent and the power and I think they are now learning how to use it and believe that it will get them where they want to go!

Never....EVER did I think I would read a Wizard of Oz analogy for our football team! :eek:lol: I guess if you live long enough you see everything!

StephenK24, you have a number of options, looking at our schedule for the next few years (Tennessee Volunteers Football Schedules and Future Schedules):

(1) You could catch Florida or Alabama at Neyland next year. The way we are playing right now, I would say that the chances are good we will end the losing streak with the Lizards; we will close the talent gap somewhat on Alabama with the incoming recruiting class but they should still be favored.

(2) If you wait until 2015, we will host Oklahoma, one of the great programs historically in all of college football, for the first time in a regular season game.

(3) If you wait until 2016, you could become part of college football history and attend the inaugural Battle at Bristol. We will play Virginia Tech in a game that will shatter all previous college football attendance records; it is projected that this game could draw between 140,000-160,000 fans.

The only problem with #3 is that I'm sure if Stephen is going to fly 4000 miles to watch the Vols play he's going to want to see them play IN historic Neyland stadium!

I agree, Brave Volunteer. One other thing to take into consideration, Stephen, is the weather. It is cooler and more comfortable in Tennessee during late October, when we play Alabama, than it is in mid-September, when we play Florida. If I were handicapping the 2014 season prematurely, I would give us a better chance of ending our losing streak to Florida than I would of beating the tidy bowl boys. Then again, they will lose their senior quarterback whereas we will have an established starter at that position. Hmm.

Well? Tough loss to Georgia. How'd we do?

Actually, I'd say tough loss to Florida which we bounced back from and took the #6 team in the country down to the wire in overtime.

And then took that loss and bounced back to beat an old rival coach in our house.

Team is growing by leaps and bounds which nobody ever thought they would see this year. "Rebuilding year" for certain. But with a confidence I haven't seen on the field in some time. And proper coaching. Underclassmen are stepping up, veterans are playing hard to get looked at for the NFL, coaches are making good adjustments, fans are finally getting back into it (although I wish Neyland would have been sold out yesterday) and even ESPN doesn't hate us as much anymore.

This is more than a win. It's exactly what the program needed to get back on track. While I think we are bowl bound, it won't be a huge bowl, but a bowl nonetheless. And after the past two seasons of no bowls, it will be huge and our fan base should turn wherever they go into the largest sea of orange outside of Knoxville.

Since he will be here for what was scheduled to be an away game that particular week he can catch a game at Neyland either the week before or the week after. I mean why in hell would he fly that far for just one game?:peace2:
