Trying to split a bunch of time between two QBs and the 1s, until 2 hours before the game starts, is pure nonsense. Pick a guy, go with him, and prepare for the week. That didn't happen, and it showed. Gameplan was crap, and having a green QB out there made it even worse. Everything yesterday resembled what it felt like to watch the QB carousel that was 2008.
Like I said, if Peterman was even close to Worley, in regards to playing QB, he would have started the season as the starter. Too many people talked about the disparity between Worley and Peterman, and consistently said it wasn't close.
It was a bad, bad, bad decision to start him on the road.
They did put him in that situation
Untested and on the road in the SEC
Not good combinations
did you or anyone on here, prior to the game, think we were going to go down there with Worley and beat fla?
No. Not you or anyone.
Do you not think coaches that see the same things we do and more have the same thoughts at times?
People complain when a coach doesn't try to make a move to win a game and complain when he does. That's just how it goes. I never get mad at a coach that makes a decision that he thinks puts them in the best position to win. If it's wrong, it's wrong. So what. I see wrong and bad decisions every minute I watch football.
Vegas had us at 17.5 point dogs for a reason, but they don't know anything compared to the talent evaluators on here.
The point is that Butch and co didn't think Worley could lead his team to a win, just as 99.9% of us thought, so he gambled. That just doesn't piss me off like it does others.
What sucks is that typical UT luck, if Worley did start and play decent along with uf's to's, we may win. Can't get a damn break, even when trying to create one as a 3 score dog.
And why do you try to build this strawman? Who said anything at all about a championship this year? Stay classy, OK?
Could be Ainge... the OC definitely isn't Cut.
If you think UF played anything like an upper tier team or did not give UT many opportunities to win the game... you need to work on that beam in your own eye before picking at my speck.
Wow. Disagreeing with you makes someone an ignorant moron. Grow up. If you can't handle disagreement then just don't post rather than showing yourself to be classless by ridiculous and TRULY ignorant namecalling.
Yes. We will find out over the next 3 years. If you weren't COMPLETELY ignorant of what I have CONSTANTLY posted here... you'd know that I have said the same thing many times.
That.... doesn't help.
... and 3-8 the year before preceded by two 5-6 seasons.
How much do you know about Nutt's tenure and end at Arkansas?
And 5-7 the year before.
1-11 the year before.
You got one... they were 5-5 the year prior too.
Took over the program at another historic low spot... but had already won a NC and coached a Heisman winner.
3-9 the year before.
Sumlin, Freeze, Mullin, MeyerX4, SabanX2, Richt, Swinney, J Fisher, SpurrierX2, Fulmer, Hoke, and numerous others.
Generally speaking, coaches who replace coaches worse than themselves... impact winning right away.
Only a few that become successful later start out by taking a step back from the coach they replaced.
