I am not a bandwagon fan but...

It's easy when you live in Tennessee. I live in Michigan and you don't really see how irrelevant we are until you hear Michigan and state fans laughing at your program. It's disheartening. .

What was your username last week, sockpuppet?

I've worn orange in worse years than this.

I hate to say this, but go ahead and take it off and leave it off.

I Love my Vols and my Vol fans (most of them), but I'm not going to force anybody to wear the orange. you can join those bandwagon fans that put an elephant on their car.

My university of TN plates on both the front and back of my car are bolted down. Never coming off, even if I have to claim someday "hey, we're a basketball school". J/k - Neyland would rise from his grave before that happened.

Your plates are probably safe...no need to insure

Dude, As many others have said, What you're posting is the definition of "fair weather fan". Which is very similar to bandwagon fan. I absolutely wear my Tennessee Orange with pride, especially in times like this. Go Big Orange!

I never thought there would be a day I was embarrased to wear Tennessee apparel out and about. I never thought I would be embarrased to put a small T on my car.

But I am.

I feel shamefull about it but my team, my only team has brought national scorn upon itself. The MIZZOU game was the final straw. Various articles ridiculing the VOLS for their absolute inability to win a game over the most pedestrian SEC opponent is just shameful.

I will keep watching, hoping against hope that I see something that is encouraging but I will not be strutting my "Tennessee Pride" until there is some thing to be proud of.

If Dooley is retained another year, well, then...I don't know what is going to happen.

Are the darkest hours behind us or will we wander in the darkness for many years???

I don't think anyone knows.

Don't let the door hit you in the mangina. Peace!

It's easy to wear the colors when your team is winning. It's pretty telling if you put them away when they're losing.

This is ridiculous. I am NEVER ashamed of wearing the orange and white in public no matter how bad we are. Tennessee could go 20 years without winning another game and I'd still wear my Tennessee gear proudly. Yes, times are tough right now but I cannot even fathom rooting for another team or being ashamed of supporting the greatest school and team in the world, The University of Tennessee.

This matches my feelings exactly. I'd rather not watch another game of football again than not be a Tennessee Vol. to all the fair weather fans out there, or the bandwagoners: if you don't wanna be a Vol, there's the door! No one is forcing you, if you can't be a fan through the bad, you don't deserve to be a fan through the good

Go vols

I was wearing Orange in 1988 (I think) when we were called the best 0 -6 team in the country.

We won the next 5 and then went 11-1 the next year.

I may be ashamed of the product being put on the field but I will never be ashamed to wear my orange.

At work the other day we were having a meeting. A Bammer fan sort of grunted and pointed at his hat. I said real fans wear orange. Anyone can wear their colors when times are good.

Go Big Orange!!!!!!!!!

The vols could go 0-12 and lose every game by 100, and I'd still rep them. Im more embarrassed for the people with Alabama wear around here, when I try and talk with them, they couldn't even tell me who the coach was before Saban and stuff like that.

Don't ever be ashamed. This is TN, the best college team to support.

It's times like this you must stick up for the big orange. Fly your flag, wear your gear and watch the games. Be proud to be a Vol. We will be rewarded for our loyalty.

Spot On, Stephen.

I'M A VOL

I cheer for the team, but some of you act like you'd seriously murder someone if they insulted Tennessee, lol.

I don't take it THAT seriously. I appreciate the university for giving me an education and I cheer for them whenever I can.
