I would not have made this post if I didn't care DEEPLEY about the Tennessee Volunteers. I am Alum and the VOLS are the only team I really care about.

Perhaps I didn't choose my words carefully enough, it is just painful right now. I was at the MIZZOU game and the FL game. Amazing how the energy has been sucked out of the fan base.

I guess I am just numb, I don't care right now.

Can you honestly tell me that next year will be any better?

We have 3 playmakers on offense, 0 on defense.
The 3 on offense are likely gone. New coach, same coach...it won't matter at this point.

It will take years for this to be fun again. Look how long it took Majors, 8 years to win an SEC title and 12 years to put us on the straight and narrow.

And the SEC isn't getting any easier...

Wore an Orange shirt to work today. Have UT objects on desk and UT print on office wall. Just bought 200.00 off Fans Edge sale day of UT mdse. Never give up on the Orange, never have, never will. But it has only been 30+ years of good and bad - who knows when I get to be a cranky old man..LOL

The energy should come from being a Vol. Not winning or losing. Some people are Vol fans. Some people are a fan of winning. Hence these Bama flags around here. They have popped up in the days of Saban. Shula days, not so much.

I have no idea how next year is going to turn out. Didn't know about this one and I had no idea we'd win the nc in '98. Point is, as the majority in this thread have pointed out, I sure as hell am not going to stop wearing and showing off my orange just because we've had major subpar years recently. Hell, if anyone saw me in anything but orange, they'd think something was wrong. Again, just having some fun with your dog comment.

No, no, no...that is NOT the definition of a bandwagon fan. A bandwagon fan is somebody who switches teams. I will not wear orange for the rest of the football games this year, but I will wear it for basketball. I will not buy clothes, hats, etc. sporting another SEC team. THAT is what bandwagon fans do.
The definition of a foolish fan is one who continues to pay good money for tickets to watch a coach with a football IQ of Donnie the Retard lose game after game after game and then continue to support this fool.
