I blame this on our COACHES

Wrong!

^Exacrly you can blame coaches for Petermans mistakes. Sure they should have took him out after the 3rd possession. That missed snap on the first 3 and out for FL was game changing
You can't coach players that can't even hold the ball/ forgets the play book, etc.

We are bad but we aren't as bad as it seemed today.

I hope CBJ didn't put in a Freshman because he's smart and get one of them some GT this week.

You really can't blame Butch for changing it up he had to try something. I really don't think we got out coached I think our problem was that we didn't execute worth a damn. We had all kinds of goof ball plays that you couldn't put on the coaches. For example Peterman just dropping the ball in his wind up that was just down right sloppy play.

TN - Comes in making a split decision to put in Peterman because of QB issues, we end up putting Worley in and still lose. Bad decision on Butch from get-go.

FL - Comes in with Driskell as starter and complete gameplan but within minutes he is out. Back-up QB played like he was the starter anyways. 2nd half, coaches tweaked gameplan to make it easier for him. We got out coached.

Agree???

you just made every point that is needed to disagree with your own contention ?? !!

It is not scheme or coaching 'tweaks'

We do not have a viable QB. Every aspect of our game will look better when we get that ..rushing , defense, SCOREBOARD.

It is going to take time to develop someone ...maybe near the end of the season ( where there are winnable games) someone will step up

what ever Butch changes ...doesnt change the fact that we do not have a viable QB at this point

Do NOT agree. UF had their first line in to the end so that tells me Muschamp thought he was still in for a fight. We were in this game until the last turnover. I am not sure if Worley just doesn't have IT or if he lacks experience. He seemed to panic on those last two drives. It also seemed like he had made up his mind before. On 2nd and 3 with a back right in front of him he tries to launch one into double coverage. He doesn't have the arm to make things happen, so he needs to use his noggin and make good decisions.

Nope. Their backup is heads and tales better than anyone we've got. Hell, he runs faster than most of our receivers. Many have said Butch left Peterman in too long. Maybe. But it's amazing how much love Worley is now getting after a week of everyone talking about how bad he is.

You are sooo right on this .

If you can watch a reply, watch their defensive line absolutely dominate our "all world offensive line" the entire night.

Their defensive line did not dominate anyone when we stopped playing the spread nonsense and switched to conventional in the 4th quarter. Suddenly we looked ok for a few series and o-line was doing just fine - but that was too late. THAT is on coaches - to figure out what personnel they have and make the most of it (and we clearly do not have the personnel to play spread - but unfortunately the best bearcat staff in America did not figure that out - this is big boys football and they got out coached - look how Florida used their inexperienced QB and made the most of what they had).

Nick Saban didn't have a good first year at Bama either, remember?

And yet he still found a way to upset Tennessee that year - and the week after he suspends a bunch of players

Urban didn't have a super year when he implemented his offense at Florida his first year as Leak was the prototype QB for his system, but he adapted and won several games including us. -- was his first year the start of gawd-awful losing streak?

I'm embarrased that some of you are part of this fan base! Makes me sick! UNDERSTAND this turn around will NOT happen over night. Don't care if you disagree or whatever about the play calling today, the comments on this board today is down right disgusting. Get over yourselves couch coaches.

Do I think CBJ should have benched Nate earlier than he did? Yes. But, thats not what im here to talk about. Just letting all you d-bags that are NEGATIVE know yall are an embarrasement to this fan base and to this team! Pathetic! Recruits, current players, coaching staff if you ever read this just know not ALL Vol fans are not like some on here and think ya'll are doing the best you can and were proud of your effort! Go Vols!

I would think that Ferguson or Dobbs would at least get a shot at the job in the coming weeks but I just listened to Jones on his radio show say they weren't ready for this type of speed. So I guess we are stuck with Worley. Heck he sort of even acted like he was going to keep Peterman in if he hadn't hurt his hand. I have no clue how this is going to shake out.

Quite frankly if you really believe the above you should quit posting on Vol football boards. The team played for sixty minutes with below average quarterbacks. The defense played well considering the position the offense put them in. We simply do not have the depth to play with the elite. CBJ tried to shake things up but made a poor decision IN HINDSIGHT. I like a coach who is willing to take some chances.

You sir do not know what you are talking about when you speak of football. CBJ will get us there but it won't be this year. 7-5 or 6-6 looks like where we are going.

Has nothing to do with our lack of talent does it? We lost Bray, Patterson, Rodgers and Hunter from last year. We have no QB or play makers this year, what do you all expect.

Its going to take awhile to right the ship. Our fanbase is too damn fickle. Get use to games like this until we get some speed here. Im glad CBJ doesnt read this garbage.

I'm so so sick losing, especially to Florida, but Kiffin denonated an atomic bomb when was here. He ran off players, recruited kids that couldn't make it and then left us in a lurch. Dooley is not SEC caliber. If he was Saban would have made him a coordinator.

We have a coach now but the waiting is going stink.
