You're making my point for me. The entire point of having a playoff is to set up a championship based on what happened on the field. When you get into the whole if team X played them they would whip their a**, that's where the subjectivity comes in. The fact is nobody knows who would win. That's why the games are played. Taking the conference champions removes that subjectivity.

In your argument of the team that back doors their way in to a CCG from a weak division (Iowa, UCLA), they're going to get exposed in the CCG anyway. They always do. If they do manage to somehow get past the CCG though, then I believe they deserve a chance at the big stage. That's the whole point of a single game elimination playoff.

I want to see the best 4 or how ever many teams it is going at it. If its the top 4 teams from the Big 10, so be it. U Conn won the Big East while it was still around. got paired up with Oklahoma, got walked all over. the game made for terrible television, even if there was one my favorite moments in college football viewership. "That's unfortunate"

Maybe it's just my way of thinking, but I see the regular season as a playoff for the conference championship. Besides, your best 4 is different from my best 4, which is different from someone else's. You summed it up at the end though. It's all about television. It's never about the best ,4, but the 4 that will draw the most viewers. That's why TCU and Baylor were both shut out a couple of years ago.

There is still a possibility that the UT-Vandy game will be for the title of Worst in the SEC. However, if Florida manages to lose to UAB (a distinct possibility), I think the Gators are going to take the crown (of crap).

Curious to see who that fourth team will be. Right now it will be Bama/UGA, Oklahoma, Clemson/Miami winner.

I think this week's ranking might drum up a little discussion, assuming anyone is actually looking at the NCAA board these days.

Looks like you are using a software specified for odds picking. Am I correct? Those numbers look similar using straight up settings with the SEC conference ratings above avg. the 4 decimal places gave it away.

Nope. This formula has nothing to do with odds, nor does it makes any predictions or take conference affiliation into account. And I rounded to 4 decimal places because I thought it looked better.
