The Championship of Life hit a roadblock. For the first time in the almost five years since Butch Jones declared that his Volunteers had won the most important championship, the current holders of the belt actually won a real title. By winning the SEC East, the Georgia Bulldogs have forfeited the CoL. So, with the belt now vacant, it only makes sense to return it to its creator...

The Spartans have two things working against them. They haven't been blowing everyone out, so their MOV isn't huge. And their SOS is pretty rough. Michigan is their only opponent currently above .500. But that will change over the final month of the season.

Either way he has rehabbed his rep at Liberty and P5 schools will be willing to give him a shot now. What would be interesting to see is if former Baylor AD, Ian McCaw, would give Briles another shot. Liberty marches to the beat of their own drummer and really doesn't care what social media thinks.
