I don't know about y'all

Get out more then. My company is based in the Midwest and everyone in the corporate office is B1G affiliated and B1G prideful. I cover 4 states in the South and the SEC pride thing is prevalent amongst all my distributors and most want to see us get back to our rightful spot in the SEC as much as we do. Are they stupid for rooting for us to return to prominence, like I root for other SEC teams in bowl season, when it could theoretically hurt them?

Outside of the Midwest and the South, most regions don't care about college football as much, hence they're lack of pride. Oregon fans saying UT had more visiting fans than any conference opponent they've ever seen tells you all you need to know about how they view college football on the west coast.

I get out fine thank you, and I know probably as many B10 fans as you, and none of them say 2 words about "B10 Pride". OSU fans I know would rather root for Satan before they'd root for Michigan, and vice versa.

And you pretty much just contradicted yourself; you acted like other conferences are all into it, then say other regions don't care about college football as much, hence "they're lack of pride".

Not really true, imo. Prior to the Sec run they acted like the Sec does now. To add to this they now think, and are possibly correct, that they are the premier basketball conference.

I married into a hodgepodge of Michiganders, Spartans, Buckeyes.

Why would anyone say 2 words about B10 pride? The Big Ten is garbage.

Obviously the best conference is going to want to be recognized as the best conference. The 6th best conference isnt gonna walk around talking **** as much as the top conference.

Fun fact: Just looked at my twitter feed and a Michigan grad that I'm friends with just tweeted #GoSparty. So there's that

I probably know more than you... They all root for the B1G. That includes OSU fans pulling for Michigan

Popularity of an absurd sentiment makes it no less absurd. Obama won the popular vote twice, for goodness' sake.

I hope Alabama gets beat, but I like seeing the rest of the conference do well in the bowl games. It would just make all UT's losses look even worse if they came at the hands of a bunch of teams that get worked by Big 10 teams.

Pretty much my view. I always pull against Bama and UF, but for the other SEC games it depends on the matchups.

I used the West coast as an example of not having conference pride cause they don't care about their own teams enough. I attended Clemson and WKU in addition to UT, and most everyone I know affiliated with those two schools pull for the ACC and Sun Belt respectively.

We'll choose to disagree on the matter. But we can't tout that we play in the best/toughest conference and then hope our conference loses it's bowl games. We're not the best conference because we lose OOC games. If the SEC declines and loses it's luster, then at the end of the year the debate begins whether or not our conference champion deserves to be in the title game, and one day that champion may be UT. I'd rather not be like Baylor and O$U were all year and sit at 4 or lower because no one respects our resume. The playoff will alleviate some of that but theres still the possibility that you're not voted top 4.

In addition, I have family members who have attended UF, UK, Auburn, Bama and LSU. If I can't celebrate a conference title, bowl win or NC myself, I'd rather my family celebrate one than Oklahoma, OSU etc.

Look who showed up to educate the masses on how stupid they are.

What did he say that was wrong? It's the new year, so you better check to make damn sure you have insurance if you plan on getting hurt.....

$17 trillion and counting....

yeah, the masses ARE stupid.

I'm talking about conference pride moron, not politics. I didn't vote for the POS that we have as POTUS.
