I don't think I have ever seen ...

wow that's a great leap.

those christians that just puke back doctrine generally are stupid. i've had many intelligent conversations with christians on this board and in social settings. things that actually made me think about my own beliefs. tebow has never said anything even remotely interesting or insightful about religion.

There's two sides to that coin. I've heard some that said many insightful things, but did not live it. I've seen some that their lifestyle speaks more than any words can speak. It's the confluence of the two that makes a person believable in the religion they adhere to. Tebow may very well be the person he appears to be. Hope so for his sake. The media built a platform under him that is very hard for a human to maintain. I respect him for that. AS well as Warner and Sam Bradford. I also hold many similar views. Was brought up that way, and have continued throughout my life to try and live that way and attend regularly. But, not without alot of personal failure as well. Unfortunately for guys like him that get so much publicity about there faith, verses someone like Bradford who a man of faith with little publicity of such, is that he is already stripped of anything human, and any mistakes he does make down the road will be hurled at him with fury. And your right about puking back doctrine. Anyone can do that. Knowing it and sharing it without imposing it takes intelligence.

... so many people rooting for someone to fail as much as I've seen the last two days with regard to Tebow. I mean, okay, he isn't prototypical under center drop back QB and his delivery is too slow. Maybe someone wants to run shotgun? Maybe he needs training for that scheme. Maybe his throwing motion is inefficient and needs work.

Tell you what: okay, he's terrible. No chance in the NFL.

It is sad that so many people are practically giddy that he's having a rough time. He's not done anything wrong other than beat a lot of teams (including yours) and for that people seem to be taking delight in this and I just think that's pathetic.

Let him succeed or fail, but don't stand there clapping if it doesn't work out for the guy.

Or perhaps all of the people who predicted this, who were then bashed on our own site by Gator Trolls, are taking satisfaction that they were correct. I wonder where all those Trolls ran off too?

They are all over in the recruiting forum starting all over again with the next UF superstars.

I would think you are right that he would not be very popular with NFL teammates. Aside from the issue of whether his enthusiasm would be off putting, his lifestyle is likely not going to go over well.

Having said that, allow me to post a recent photo of Tebow and his ACTUAL girlfriend, Janell Wheeler....

Is that pacman trying to bite her boob? Now that would be a gator chomp! Go pacman go! :clapping:

...He better start working on his blocking technique.

He's not making it past his first contract as a QB.

He might well do very poorly in the NFL, I'm sure. But I can't root for that to happen. I just see no value to that.

The value might be that a future QB prospect looks at his NFL status and thinks Florida and Meyer might not be the best way to get to the next level as a QB.

I think the desire for Tebow's failure may be matched by the collective desire on this board for you to quit whining....

If he fails most UT fans fans are going to be happy for a myriad of reasons, most notably not having to hear his holier-than-thou proselytizing....

You are actually the person I had most in mind when I started this thread. Even with regard to the post you refer to, the fellow was noting that Tebow's manner might be a little awkward because of his upbringing. Several of us, including Vols fans, have remarked that we think that might be a good insight.

You use it to insinuate he's stupid.

You really are a miserable wretch if you use that theory as a platform just to insult the guy one more time.

Maybe sheltered would be a better word. I don't think that is an insult and I don't think it is inaccurate.

Tebow quote on what he needs to do:
“I think I’m definitely open to improving my fundamentals,” Tebow said. “I think I definitely showed that by being here. If you just watched the way I played, you could see there is room for improvement and what I need to work on.”

He's open to the idea??? Really? Just open to the idea?
Yeah there's room for improvement. Try holding on to the football and reading a defense.
