I have a feeling Tennessee will be a different team this Saturday

Or, he could remain undefeated vs. FL in Knoxville. What will Vegas say? 🤔

As of now, Vols are 15.5 point favorites.

Apparently the bookmakers are smoking some of that good legal stuff in NV.

If I was a single game better I would be all over the Gators with that spread.

It's difficult to fix the OL during the season unless you have new players to insert into the lineup...I thought Johnson played well against Oklahoma, but didn't see him against Arkansas...Of course, Davis would be the other tackle. Both Florida and Alabama will have better DL than Arkansas...

I have a feeling, this will be my face by the end of the 4th quarter. The offense is garbage because the O-Line is garbage. I don't see that changing against another mediocre opponent if it didn't change against Arkansas.

I have 0 faith that we play good. It's Florida and we've shown we're a paper tiger just like Missouri. Hoping I'm proved very wrong but I think Florida wins easily
"wins easily"??? We handled them easily in 2022, though we allowed them to make it look close at the end. I'm pretty confident we win. Definitely need a better effort than Saturday though.

I sure hope so. We're about to find out if this team has fight and grit in them. We will for sure see some of the other WRs this game. Squirrel's injury didn't look good, Bru was hobbling, and Thornton looked a little shaken up a couple times too.

I hope I am wrong, wrong, wrong but after the past 6 quarters of play against SEC competition, we are what we are.

Vols-17
Gators-27

Vols undisciplined play will again be the bane of this game. Nico will get sacked 3 times and throw at least one Int. Dylan Sampson continues his amazing season with 2 more touchdowns, he will end season with close to 20. I hope Vols prove me wrong and beat Gators but our Oline, playcalling, bad secondary and indecisive QB are not going to be fixed quick. Hopefully being at home will help!

If we lose, it will be to poor play calling. We need to open up the short passing game. Is there a call-in show today? We should all be asking where are the slant, HB throws, TE roll outs, quick curls, etc. Just hit our coaching staff about those 1-2 second passes for 5 yards or so.

To me, that would totally turn our offensive complexion as it will force defenders up and put pressure off the O-line. Then perhaps the deep game could happen. At the very least, you are getting 4-5 yards a pop and that helps make it easier to move the chain and put less pressure on run game.

True but we tend to always have that bounce back game and I think this game was probably circled. I also think Florida's defense isn't as good as Arkansas's defense (or Oklahoma). Being at home will help.

In 2022, Missouri was the bounce back after Georgia and Vandy after South Carolina. Both were solid wins. We had South Carolina in 2023 after losing to Florida and Kentucky after losing to Alabama.

Georgia is the only team that broke that streak and Georgia was just ELITE.

I still think Tennessee has major issues that won't be easy to solve but I just have a feeling the Offensive line and team will show up this Saturday and perhaps play their best game.

Winning on the road in the SEC is incredibly hard. Whether it be basketball, baseball or football. You take any road win, regardless of the score and get out. Definitely a rough outcome, but this weekend will be a bounce back game!

Agree, I don't think our issues will all be fixed, I just think our offensive line is going to come out and play a lot better/harder and the team, as a whole, will be more passionate and confident.

If we lose to FL the season is over. If Heupel goes 1-3 against 4 awful FL teams we have serious problems
I'd seriously start thinking about who's next. Lose to a middling Arkansas team, lose twice to Sunbelt Billy? Seriously... what's the point? We have plenty of talent. It Certainly looks like the players that left us are playing BETTER elsewhere. Hmmmmmm? I guess we hope to LUCK into a championship or playoff in the future? I guess that's what we want. Saturday was not a "Hard Fought" loss to a better team. It was a total shitshow from a team TOTALLY unprepared. CJH is in his FOURTH year. You don't keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again. He has **** the bed EVERY year to a team he shouldn't have. It's unacceptable and doesn't happen to the better coached teams. He's a middling coach at best. We need elite level coaches.

if we don't look like a different team Saturday or god forbid get beat by Florida... it's going to get ugly I'm afraid

You mean the 2022 game that cost us a playoff spot most likely. I had Deja vu Saturday night and was thinking about that game

Arkansas would be the equivalent of 2022 South Carolina.

Heupel definitely has a road game issue. I think we thought he had overcame it with Oklahoma.

Granted, a lot of SEC programs tend to have that issue.

I don’t know about the OU game. I think we were somewhat lucky. The second half of that game was hard to watch. If we played OU right now we’d lose

I am thinking we are overreacting a little to the loss. Now, I don't think we are a top 5 team or a National Title Contender but I also think we are better than an 8-4/7-5 team people are claiming we are on this forum. We will see.

If I was not a Tennessee fan (putting glasses off), I am liking Tennessee to bounce back big against Florida. The next game that should definitely worry us is Kentucky. Kentucky (where the game is located) is a little scary.

Kentucky is in Knoxville this year. I hope I’m not over reacting
