I Like Cuonzo but the blame for this loss (GA)

Once again, star rankings do not matter when the rubber hits the road and I would take a team with Bradshaw, Lofton, J. Smith, C.J. Watson, Wingate and Asumnu over the group we have now and it really isn't close. Your blind support for Pearl and ridiculous criticisms of CCM are getting really old...

There was no blind support of Pearl, I just answered a question from a previous poster. Hell, I'd take Buzz or Wade back if they could win. That's all.

If you have done this for a while then you realize that CBP had a winning record with Buzz players. You can't hang with top talent if you don't have talent also and we have had way to many close games to cry we have no talent. What we have is no coaching.

the fact that you are judging CCM coaching off of 18 games says quite a bit. i assume you would have also fired coach k after his first year? if not his first year definitely the second or 3rd, he went 17-13, 10-17, and 11-17 and he wasnt proven at army either his average season was 14-12. the point is you have got to have patience, if you bring coaches in and can them after a year if they dont win big you are never going to have a succesful program.

Agree. Also, Golden tries but is clueless as a PG. I noticed that as good as Maymon and Stokes were together against UK, they did not get but a couple of minutes together this whole game. That's on Zo.

So Trae's cluelessness has him leading the conference in assists right?!?

Honestly, I agree that this loss falls on CCM. Because I am not going to fault an early entry Frosh for any loss. I agree with CCM's decision to keep Stokes out of the game in OT. He gave up several easy buckets not hustling to get back. Just one of those being eliminated and we win the game in regulation. If Maymon could hit some free throws we win as well.

I took a lot of positives out of this loss. There were a TON of teaching points for CCM to get across to the team in practice. When they watch the film, they are going to learn a lot from that loss. Let's be honest here, we are playing for next season already. This is not an NCAA tourney team and more than likely at this point not even an NIT team. There are several losses yet to come. I am not discouraged though. We will have a top 25 calibur team next season IMO.

Know, you are also forgetting about Andre Patterson playing an instrumental role on Bruce's first year. CJ Watson was a decently rated player and Stanley Asumnu was a really highly sought after player. Both 4* IIRC.

edit: Patterson and Asumnu both played themselves into NBA D-league players here and CJ played himself onto an NBA roster! No slouches and I'm not even getting into how many games Lofton and Jajuan won for us... Wingate was a nice player as well.

i agree. look at the difference in 1st and 2nd year at missouri state, it takes ccm a year or two to get it going how he wants.

Well aware of K's first years and to remind you that any SEC team this year would have beaten K's first team at Duke by 50 points. Its the end of game coaching that bothers me. And what most on here are advocating is
own the job training and thats fine if your young and haven't spent decades wishing and hoping for a NC.

I know the rosters well and I was just answering a previous post that mentioned Pearl. Wouldn't bother me if the mods banned the name on here like someone else we know.:)

Hahahaha!!! I don't doubt your knowledge know, but that doesn't mean I am always in agreement with your opinions derived from said knowledge. lol

That is understandable, i just want people to be patient and give ccm a chance that is all. People would have more of a right to be upset if there were expectations for this year. Anybody that had higher expectations though for this year than what they have already have achieved was being unrealistic.

Im trying, I just love to win.:)

Did anyone else notice the 17k times they showed the replay of B-Will's buzzer beater and the whole team celebrating that Cam Tatum was the only player on the screen remaining? Fresh team, Fresh coach... give it a little time. We will have a solid program under CCM

I personally don't want to see Golden become the permanent PG.
He's a natural 2 and would probably lead the conference at that position. He's fearless going to the rim and a decent long range shooter.
I'd like to see him get 2 years at his natural position.
That means we need to find a Juco PG in the off season.
We were in on Nino Jackson and Ray Lee.
Nino has ruled us out and Lee has gone the felony route.
All of the elites are gone, but there are a few 3 stars that might foot the bill until Landry gets here.
I'm not ruling out Stanton if Zo can get him back to where he was as a JR in HS averaging 7.5 assists per game. But he can't play until January.

Ooops wrong thread. It's early.
