We do not have one. I fail to see how that is Coach Martin's fault.
I'll give Golden and Martin this, the shot was an open look and not a long 3. It seemed he slipped though and was off balance as he took the shot. It almost went in. If not for the long rebound, we might've been able to get the board and the rebound. Still don't know why the hell we didn't try to get it inside.
Rucker said Martin said in the post game that he was mystified as to why UT had 20 turnovers because UGA doesn't pressure the ball. How about Tatum and Golden making mind numbing passes or getting stripped constantly going to the hoop. That's when I wish Martin would rip their ass a new one after making stupid mistake after stupid mistake.
Montenegro scored on Skylar and a breakaway, as well as a couple of ft's. They didn't run the offense through him, so I don't believe he'll have assists.
Thornton didn't get a shot off on Stokes. Not sure about Williams. Stokes didn't play bad D. Not at all.
Regardless of the defense, you drive and put up a shot at rim. You either get fouled or score. Golden shooting a 15 ft one handed shot is not a decent look.
The blame for our loss is Trae Golden, he is nothing but a ball hog and seems to miss most of his shots. Get him out of there.
And you really think that's what cost us this game.
We lost this game in the first half giving up easy baskets on transition.
Our guards were loafing down the floor. We gave up at least 10 points there.
And we don't have a guard that can handle the ball without turning it over or make a pass to the right color shirt.
Your lazy guards cost us this game.
has to totally be on him. Stokes didn't play the entire OT until 26 seconds left. Without him, we never even get to OT. For some reason, CCM is determined to play him as little as possible. Don't understand.....
I don't agree. I was more confused by setting Golden so long in the 2nd half than Stokes. I don't blame Martin really for this loss. I think the last play could of been drawn up different but overall, it's on the team for forgetting fundamental things like boxing out and dumb decisions.
the turnovers are my number 1 concern. they are unforced turnovers for the most part, just us dribbling it off our foot/knee, or stepping on the baseline, or throwing the ball out of bounds. these are turnovers that good teams dont make, you have to take care of the ball. if we take care of this ball we win this game easily, the way the defense played this shouldnt have even been a ball game.
Listen....ive done this for awhile. If you are going to win on the road...you have to have talent. Look at the last 20 years of ut bball. We do not have enough right now. Bruce won on the road....Jerry won on the road....what is the differnce? TALENT. BUZZ could not win cus a lack of talent with the exception of year one. We have to get better players. Cuonzo can flat out coach...yall no we need a couple more ball players. I see 4 players on the court that do not want the ball on the road. If we want to get back to big boy bball we gotta get some studs.
If you have done this for a while then you realize that CBP had a winning record with Buzz players. You can't hang with top talent if you don't have talent also and we have had way to many close games to cry we have no talent. What we have is no coaching.
Only so much a coach can do man. You wanna play coach; who Do you play at pg SG and sf? This should be interesting?
I have no problem with Trae at the point. Apparently from some of the repeated mistakes either the coach or the players handling the ball late in the game are not the sharpest tools in the shed. This team has a "I want to be the hero mentality" and it is killing us that we had rather take a thirty foot jumper instead of working it down low or our guards trying to take it low and score over the oppositions post players.

Do you remember the way Bruce's last second plays looked? 35 foot fade alway threes, atleast now we are getting inside the 3 point line. The shot by golden wast a horrible one, atleast the ball wasn't stripped this time and we got a good look. With that's said the ball does need to go inside, no questions asked.
That was more last year.
When he had Tyler Smith, he let him go one and one and he hit a number of crucial shots at the end of the game.
I hope Stokes becomes more of that guy.
