This team is better than Wall's team. Upsets happen, and ANY team can lose in March. I'm not saying UK will win it all, but I am saying they are the best team in America right now. Dont kick your dog.

You're right and a lot of the time the best team in feb isn't the last team standing. As you said anything can happen...

Hahahaha!!! That was probably the most disturbing thing I have ever read on here...

I was walking down the isle on the way to my seat and I pass Allan Houston, I thought that was strange. Then I see the Bruce. We crossed paths, I said a few short words about what a surprise it was seeing him here and how UK fans miss the rivalry. He was really nice, very kind, didnt seem stuck up like some coaches are. He even ended the conversation with "Thanks and its nice to see you"...like he's known me for years. I gotta admit, I wasnt a big Pearl fan until I saw his class tonight. I hope he gets back into coaching soon, I'll be pulling for him.

BTW----He was wearing blue :)

Name dropper!

Let's get over the Pearl Love Fest. He came, he won, he cheated, he was fired. Pretty simple. We will not make the mistake of going back for Chapter 2.

Sounds like a lot of people still hope for his return. I'm one of them. He was a great motivator and recruiter, he made the rivalry fun.

What would be worse? Pearl going to South Carolina and turning them into a national powerhouse, or coming back to UT and have talks of cheating all the time?

I'm all for his return just not a UT. I definitely don't see him coming right back into the sec either. SC will be vacant after this year, they won't hire pearl after this year, so unless there's gonna be another sec opening.

I see him returning to a smaller school, mid-major type. JMO

Nobody will be hiring his bronze ass until the show-cause stip is lifted.

exactly. which is why the mention of him even being hired by SC is just unrealistic. i cant really think of any other sec coach thatd be on the hot seat next year, but undoubtedly something will come open.

i really just dont see him getting a big time job like a sec coaching gig, in his first hire back.

And someone will when it is lifted. If people think Pearl is damaged goods then they haven't been paying attention. Money rules all. Someone will take a chance on him because he is going to make their program tons of cash and get them a lot of publicity. He'll be back whether some people want to believe it or not. He'll just have to work his way back, but Pearl has always been an underdog. Just another reason for him to fight his way back and he will.

i agree he'll definitely get a chance somewhere to work his way back up. what level conference do you see him getting in at to start out? i would be surprised with anything higher than a mid major level, but i wonder if some drowning program would take a shot. maybe an acc, or big east school tries to take a shot at him?

He'll probably start out a mid-major. Stay there 3-4 years and then take another job. It just depends on where the sport is in 3 years. With the conferences all changing up, who knows what it will look like in 3 years.
