Just throwing it out there. Nothing against CCM; by all accounts he is a good man and a good coach and will do good things here. And Pearl made several mistakes and had to go.

But man, I miss seeing that fire and energy he had on the sideline.

I thought bp was great, but then TN is not supposed to win a lot in bb .... but I really like CM, so it's water under the bridge

What do you guys miss most about BP? The lying or the rule breaking again after a tear filled press conference about how sorry he was?

I miss the excitement, big wins, #1 ranking, Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight. I could go on and on

I will admit I miss seeing a chubby guy take his shirt off, paint his body orange and show up at women's basketball games.

CCM greatly exceeded media and fan expectations in year one (or was ir year zero). He has done nothing to disappoint. Hope CCM can continue what CBP got started. Thanks CBP. Go CCM. GBO!

Personally, I'm looking forward to CCM's year 1.

The key difference between CCM and BP is that CCM is about the team being on the front page, not him.

Pearl was good but Elite 8 was his max coaching potential. Im curious to see what Cuanzo potential might be.

I know Pearl had screwed up, but I do reminisce on the good times where TN basketball became relevant because of Bruce Pearl. Personally, I can't help but feel sympathy for him to an extent. This was a career capstone job for him and he blew it.

Still, I'm 100% behind CCM and, like others, am anxious to see where he can take TN hoops.

Bruce Pearl breathed life into a program on a respirator. He was great for the basketball program, and aroused a sleeping fan base.Did he merchandise himself? Sure he did which went on to sell our program. Under his tenure we went from wondering if we could get to a final four, instead wondering if we would make the tournament. I hope CM can get us back to those wonder years. Right now, he reminds me more of O'neill.

One problem with Pearl is not what he accomplished, which was considerable, but where the program was headed. The man could not evaluate HS talent.

Well he should have never lied to the NCAA. About Craft being at the BBQ at his house. It was a secondary violuation. But it got major when he lied. Bruce has no one to blame but his self. Go watch ESPN he is on there some.

Yeah, I think hes a analyst on there. I like CCM but Pearl would get fired up and I think the kids would play harder for him.

Meh, ever since the team bought into CCM's system, I haven't noticed a difference in intensity. I'd say they're both strong motivators in their own ways (which are completely opposite). Even McRae, who was never known for his hustle under Pearl, is really getting after it this year. I think Kenny Hall is just a lost cause in that department seeing that neither Pearl nor CCM have been able to light a fire under him.

The players that played for Pearl & also Martin all say that Bruce was good, but Martin really gets you going & really teaches you respect as well as the game!!!!

He will go down in Vol history. He proved that you could get quality wins and players here and it could be done, competing with any team . But you know it is what it is.

I think Kenny Hall is coming around, CCM has made it a point to mention his positive change of attitude
