'i Pray To Jesus'

I am doing nothing of the sort. I'm just trying to point out that you could say the same for both sides.

I have nothing against Christianity. I have a problem when it tries to push itself into law and interfere with the freedoms we have in this country. If you want to get involved in the process then drop the tax-exempt status and make it official.

Fair enough, but my point is you really can't compare the Bible to the Koran.

Funny. Most of the acts that people hold a grudge against the Catholic Church for occurred right around the Reformation, aka the least powerful moment in the history of the Catholic Church. Personally, I would have hated to live (or, more than likely, be killed) during the Reformation. German princes (Lutherans), Calvinists, and the Church of England have eerily familiar tales of the times...

Yes very eerie, trying to use religion as a government... Christians are accused of that, but let's take a good long hard look at the Middle East right now, shall we?

So, you should really actually read a historical book before trying to make a historical quip...

QFT.

Much of his teachings of hatred towards others is what has spawned from the same idea of hatred that you are now seeing from Osama's followers

I'm no fan of Robertson, but that's just sad. Let me know when he calls for beheadings, ok?

Accept of course that more than a handful of people mentioned in the Torah are also mentioned in the Koran. Oh, and many of the ideas espoused throughout the Torah are also espoused in the Koran. Oh, and God is extremely vindictive in the Torah...and pretty vindictive in the Koran...

Yes, apples and oranges, of course!

um, he already has called for assassinations. Hugo Chavez. Of course he got ripped for it and changed his tune.

I was trying to make a point, but please when all else fails, call me names, works well for the Dems. Maybe you should check that other box on your voter registraion card... now continue comparing Christianity to Islam.

God is vindictive in lots of religions, still no call for comparing the two. Please try again.

VFB,

can you explain why radical Christianity would leave radical Islam in the dust?

History repeats itself. The acts done in Christianity throughout history already leaves radical Islam territory well behind. False Christian leaders could easily rise up enough people to commit random acts of violence and wars on other nations.

Please don't put me in the position of having to compare the lesser of two evils for lack of a better word. Trust me, Pat gets on my nerves like few can.

if you know as much about the Koran as you are acting like you do and continue to make comments like these, it's obvious you know nothing about the Torah.

you asked to mention where he has called for beheadings. He essentially did.

a Christian calling for murder gets on your nerves but a Muslim doing it needs to be removed from the earth. I see the difference now

I see. So radical Christianity is worse than radical Islam? What act do you suppose a radical Islamist would commit if he could get his hands on an atomic bomb right now? While you were doing fine in most of this discussion, I find this comment absurd. The whole point is radicalism is radicalism, it does not matter who is behind it. The agenda is too push your point across at all costs. There is not a lesser form of it.

Please show me your theology degree, until then my point is saying Christianity is just as responsibile for bad things happening in the world as Islam is just untrue. Someone has to take up for it, might as well be me.

you really have no reading comprehension whatsoever do you allvol? I've never said one is worse than the other. They are both equally wrong. Where 27 is wrong though is that he is able to separate Christian nutjobs from the true Christian yet unable to separate Muslim nutjobs from true Muslims.

so as a Christian you don't even have enough faith in your fellow man to believe his word?

Actually, I just now learned that there is a lesser form. If it comes from people who are similar to you, then it simply "gets on your nerves."

No, a nutjob is a nutjob, but what is the greatest threat right now? Not some crazy hick that protests soldier's funerals; someone trying to get a dirty bomb.
