I see what Hart is doing. Very slick

I'll see your $5 mil and raise you 2 more yrs of probation as to why Hart Keeps Dooley. Chancellor Cheek has no nuevos to stand up for UT vs NCAA and no Coach wants to come in and clean this mess up with one arm behind his back. Dooley will be back next year in my opininion.

Keeps Dooley????
If this happens then Tennessee Football is dead.
Also, it will cost much more than $5 million in the long run if Dooley remains.

He was sent here by Saban to unite with the evil Sith Lord jimmy the cheek! Together they will make sure UT football stays in the dumpster fire! Our only hope is a Jedi named Peyton manning to assemble the council of boosters to bring light and peace back to the big orange galaxy!

Don't forget the Jedi mind tricks.
"Dooley sucks!"
"Dooley does not suck."
"Dooley does not suck. He needs more time."

Seems to be working on some around here.

The only reason Dooley hasnt been fired is because we are still mathematically eligable for a bowl game. We fire Dooley chances of us going bottom out. Even though its a terrible bowl game, it will generate a few million that will be needed to buy him out. Dont read into this too much, its always about money and nothing else.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think he was paid millions to do a little more than simply not break rules. Thanks for the post though, Barbara.

He's the coach of Tennessee and he is in the low 40 in the rankings of div 1 coaches. Like 50k more than Phillips at UK. C'mon man stop throwing the he gets paid million around cause it makes you look really stupid cause you r unable to understand the concept of market pay.

Worth a like and a bump.

Thanks KK :good!: Of course as always the ones unable to have a civil convo without insult come out in force. I know you feel my pain.

LMAO; Mike Leach has a law degree, Rick Neuheisel has a law degree. Quin Snyder has a law degree. And something else they have in common...they were all fired! If TN only wanted a nice little man with a law degree then it would have hired Terry Bowden:hi:

Ummmm didn't say he wasn't going to get fired. Said if he makes a bowl he helps his chances. Though small it's still there. Btw - way to only stick to one tiny part in my post and not grasp the whole thing. Smh

come on man WAKE UP!! put down the doolaid, and start drinking something else!! the man is as good as gone!! we split these last 2 games hes gone anyways...a bowl game still might not be enough to save his job...I realistically think there will be a better coach on the sidelines next yr for the Vols. one who WILL WIN in the SEC immediately!!!!! this crap we are going through now is DISGUSTING!!!

I'm fully awake read the previous reply as it can apply to you too. Seconamok discusted with the situation too but more with the way the program was allowed to get to where it is at by people here before CDD.

Just because I see things differently than you and others doesn't mean I'm not awake. Means I see things differently than you. Simple. Like it or not I really don't care cause it's my opinion. I've been on this thread long enough and read all opinions (though I want to have some noone is on my ignore list), and none of you negavols have been able to make me change my opinion one bit. So get over yourselves and go get a hug from someone.

DD is not going to resign. If our former beloved godfather that loved his university so much he ripped them for 6 million you can bet DD wants his share, too.

The net proceeds from a terrible bowl won't provide enough money for a cheap six-pack of beer.

I actually think I agree that he'll be back. Think about it: aren't we four plays away from 8 wins right now. And that's with the worst defense in SEC history.

Maybe the best option for the program is to give Dooley another year -- rather than start all over again from scratch.

What I always found most intriguing about dooleys contract is that we were so desperate that we paid a guy with a losing record from the WAC all that money to coach here. I have to say it broke my heart a little 3 years ago to see that we were in that state.

He's going to allow dd to resign with some dignity so he can continue his career elsewhere. He's not going to be here anyway but he knows dd inherited a mess and it looks good on ut for future coaches. It's just a good pr move for ut and a way to save face with the coaching community. To keep it real, it's not dd fault he was hired for a job he is underqualified for.

Absolutely brilliant Watson just brilliant. Wrong but brilliant. DD is no dummy when it comes to paper.

Yes that was me who liked your post. Now this is the same common sense I can agree with you on. :) :hi::good!:

It sickens me to see Ole Miss and Vandy do this good with their coaches having less time in their respective programs than Dooley has. Is Franklin and Freez really that much better than Dooley or is their something else. Franklin has Vandy at a possibility of winning eight games in only two years their and Dooley hasn't won his first game against a ranked opponet. Freeze has been at Ole Miss just one year and already you can see significant improvement in that team and they have LSU on the ropes right now and they look like that they would destroy Tennessee and both programs have less talent then what Dooley has at UT and less time to bring talent in to compete. I did not see this one coming that we struck out with Dooley so bad. It is just tough to watch. I really hope UT gets this coaching hire right, because if we keep this up then we will be at the bottom of the SEC for the while.

He actually was more qualified for the job than you think. If you think he was hired just to only be a "coach" then you r very naive. He's the clean-cut son of a legendary SEC HC. Someone that knows the SEC as much or better than the majority of people. Remember how kiffy poo poo'd on a lot of our traditions. Cdd respects our traditions and I'm sure tried to restore the ones kiffy disregarded. He is someone that is well spoken and highly well educated. A lawyer. Having both HC and AD experience. Hammy knew what was about to happen with the NCAA, and all the nice little turds that kiffy was leaving behind. Cdd was/is someone QUALIFIED to handle the issues.

I know there are so many people that believe that CDD is getting "paid to win games" (though paid in the lowest tier in his market) but he was brought in imo to help rebuild this program. To help stop the hemoraging. Hammy knew this and knew he either wasn't capable of doing it by himself or wasn't going to be here to get it done. Or maybe both. Hart said himself that it was way worse than what he thought originally. Wouldn't surprise me if the situation was so bad at UT that getting a "winning coach" wasnt the most important thing for Hammy.

Like what he has done on the field or not but CDD has given his all for UT. Disrespecting him by degrading him as if you have or will ever be in his shoes is ridic. I hope he is here next yr and starts to succeed on the field. I do understand he will have to make a bowl to have a shot at staying, so i will be rooting on my beloved Vols as always. I'm not one of these "so called fans" that is going to wish for or see joy in seeing UT lose so he is gone.

GBO!!!

Well said Sir
Excellent evaluation of the entire situation

Buy outs = reward for failure !  Coaches and employers need to learn that you don't get paid for getting your @$$ fired!

But didn`t Dooley sign a 6 year contract? That means we will let you coach for 6 years.....you can`t just say you are fired now go away, you gotta pay him to go away or get sued. It is not a reward for failure.

I'll give Dooley credit for one thing. He has a nack for blowing games. Lets Hope he's not his self tonight And doesn't give the same motivational speech he has in the past because it sucks!
