I think this is Pat's last game

At some point, the players have to execute. Shooting 19% from 3 and 30% overall isn't going to win you many games, despite the game plan.

I don't know if this is Pat's last game, but it is the last game for our five dedicated seniors who gave it their all tonight but were beaten by a better team. Thank you LV's for a great effort, and thank you Pat Summit for all of your years coaching if this is your final game as the Lady Vol head coach.

Thank you Pat for giving your all for Tennessee. Last game or not doesn't matter. We have all been fortunate to have a women of this caliber representing UT. Legend.

I hope we get Mulkey. (the coach who just kicked our a$$)

Just a reminder: Whoever the new coach is, will NOT be "replacing" Pat.

yeah, it's her last. my mother-in-law died from this terrible disease. it will begin to really take effect on her as time goes. i watched my inlaw go from a woman that was full of life to a person that didn'r care about anything. this is a disease that there is no cure for. medicine will slow it down, but it will not help in the long run. thank you, pat for the great job you did at u t. may god touch you and ease the pain.

Cause maybe he/she hopes (whether far fetched or not) that Pat can remain healthy and continue doing something that she loves surrounded by people that love and support her. Regardless if she needs to leave or not for personal reasons, its her decision. Whether thats "wishing that on Pat, her family, her players, or the program" is of little consequence and completely her decision.

I don't like your tone saying, "wishing that on Pat, her family, her players, or the LV program"....Its like your saying she's a problem for the program and she just needs to go now...

I DO NOT want Mulkey. I hate her more than Nancy Grace! (Which she reminds me of quite a bit btw)

Unfortunately those saying we watched her last game are probably right. God Bless her as this horrible disease grows. She created a dynasty and I want to remember her just that way. My mother-in-law had this disease and some of the same blank stares I have seen on Pat's face are all to familiar.Remember her fondly, appreciate what she did for UT, and remember her at her best. Tonight she never left the bench and not once gave the ref's a piece of her mind. The opposing coach was all over the ref's all night. That was not the Pat Summitt we all came to love and know. Godspeed.

Lost my mother-in-law the same way last year. Ten years. I hate that disease. Condolences sdowell and FijiVol. Those of us that have an intimate understanding know "the look" folks get when they have it. If you have ever been a caregiver of someone with it for any length of time you know that Pat should not be doing this much, if any, longer. Just trying to remember faces, names, where to go, when to go there, etc. become more important than details about a job (coaching). Stress accelerates the decline. She has early onset and they diagnosed reasonably early, but early onset usually means very severe and shorter life span than normal dementia. I know one man that was diagnosed at 40 and died in 5 years. Had no clue who anyone was after 2 years. People need to get educated on this and think about what they say and write. Pat deserves to go out with great respect without tarnishing her legacy.

Pat can't coach anymore, can't interact with the media in any meaningful way, is a big unknown to potential recruits and their families, her illness WILL not improve... ever.

Pat built a program that reached for the top every year. I never want to see her on the bench looking totally lost ever again. Anyone who does is doing it for selfish reasons not for Pat and certainly not for the program.
